Gambling I’m betting it will be The next big pandemic that faces America.

Excellent analysis. Any chance of looking at investment apps which match the easy access of smart phone-based sports gambling to complicated securities where the users are even less likely to understand what they are betting on?

    Another horrifying aspect of profit-chasing.

Not sure how anyone proposing the law or defending it in court could argue with a straight face poker is not a skill, rather than gambling. In one of the appellate court cases a judge asked an attorney for the state… if poker is pure gambling, rather than skill why don’t you play one of the pros poker players who testified at the original trial.

As a gambler that bets everyday I disagree with this narrative primarily because it comes down to the individual’s discipline never gamble what your not willing to lose

Pokies are rigged like the Super Bowl 😂

While still supportive of the arguments raised in this video analysis, an interesting historical fact is that gambling (in particular, lotteries) played a prominent role in early American history. Indeed, George Washington was involved in many lotteries throughout his life.

Video fundamentally misstates the Supreme Court ruling. The court did NOT say the federal government couldn’t ban sports gambling. Everyone acknowledges that the feds could ban it if they wanted to. (Sports gambling is clearly interstate commerce.) What the court said was that the federal government couldn’t pick and choose which states are allowed to have gambling and which are not. In the absence of a federal ban, it’s up to each state to decide whether it wants to allow gambling.

The state regulatory agencies aren't underfunded. They are misfunded. Giving them more money wouldn't change anything. Legislators need to write laws.

12:00 Oh well that’s not a risk-free bet at all.

CO2 is so laughable; the only thing more in your face would have been if the Climate pushers would have told us how O2 (oxygen) is devastating the planet. People are so easily fooled while thinking they are so wise. Professing to be wise they became fools and their foolish hearts were darkened.

What is the largest online gambling house? The Federal Reserve!

19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. – Galatians 5v19-21

Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. 6 For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience, .. Colossians 3v5-6a

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them. – Romans 1v28-32

IS THEIR HOPE FOR THE WICKED?

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. – Ephesians 2v1-7

Another form of idolatry that results in many broken people and broken souls. The one cure and only cure is Jesus Christ.

Everytime I see a commercial with Jamie Fox and Kevin Hart pushing these Gambling sites, it make me think how corrupt and screwed up this world has become, it’s not good enough to have casinos everywhere, they want to make sure you can lose your money without leaving the comfort of your own home now, people need to understand something, casinos and these gambling sites don’t stay in business by giving you money, yes you may win $500.00 this week but it already cost you $2000.00 to make it.

I can assure you most state regulators are not overworked.
