    Moniak agreed to less money that his slot called for, the Phillies hoped to sign some kids with the savings. That didn’t work out either. Pitcher Gowdy was hurt and eventually traded. Third baseman Stobbe is still in A ball.

    Can't understand y they drafted him. He never had the tools. At the time everyone was pissed what bad scouting back then

    He may very well ultimately get traded and then have a nice career! He grew up only a couple miles from my house. Probably putting too much pressure on himself as so many first rounders historically have.

    if you draft this kid in the top 8 rounds the entire scouting department should be fired..
