One of my biggest pet peeves is how UK broadcasters slaughter simple words in Spanish like villa. They’re already saying the second half of the word correctly yet somehow they’re too thick to learn the first part of Villarreal.
Villarreal literally translates to Royal Village due to the foundation by King James I of Aragon back in 1274 but this is not about a history lesson.
Villa in Spanish sounds and is pronounced like Bee-yah. Since we’re talking about the football club I’m goi;g by the name of the football club not the town’s name in Valenciano.
For those of you from the UK who are triggered by my comment, please understand that it’s as annoying as any of us Americans or other foreigners pronouncing or slaughtering the name of any city in your country despite having the tools available to learn how to properly say that name or having been corrected and still pronouncing it the wrong way. Example: Leicester City. I’m sure it would be funny at first if someone pronounced it lay-sister city or a worst distortion of it. Better yet we could totally mispronounce Tottenham to tot-and-ham 😂 and you’re welcome.
Just for this win alone, Unai deserves to be named among the best coaches in the world.. wayyy ahead of Pochettino.

Put Luis Suarez and Lemar, definitely a game changer for the second leg. Man City’s best bet is to make Suarez tired and make him run, and take advantage of all the space Atleti gives when they attack.
