It’s a setup dude, they pay an influencer to record themselves playing a few hundred bucks and it’s programmed to hit the jackpot and the influencer flips out making it look like they really won when the program is programmed to hit the jackpot after so much time playing, then afterwards the machine is put back to normal 5% odds of you wining the jackpot … it’s all a scam that’s why they get their license in a different country than the U.S or Canada…. it’s the same as the NFT and crypto scam they pay an influencer then pull the rug

You can't stream crypto casinos on Twitch or let kids play the slots, but gacha games and lootboxes are permissible. That's still gambling allowed on stream.That'ss arguably more dangerous. It lets underage players dump real money in with the innocent front of "It's just a game mechanic!"
I dumped too much money into gacha because it wasn't technically gambling. Having your favorite character/card/whatever to play with was something you couldn't have without playing their slots. You can't buy them from other players (at least without catching a ban or just getting scammed). Plus, certain things are so abysmally rare that you're lucky to roll a single one after months of f2p rewards.
They entice you with "guaranteed SSR" campaigns where paying X amount assures one SSR, but you've now broken the mental wall of "I'll play but as strictly f2p." Spending just a couple more dollars for your absolute fave doesn't feel much further off, so might as well, right?

Interestingly the question came before federal courts whether or not companies exploiting gambling addiction we're doing the same thing is robbing people a gunpoint, and actually the answer was yes. The voluntary self exclusion programs at casinos have the function, within legal reasoning, of giving the consumer their free will back. I struggled with what was probably a gambling addiction with gacha games in 2018 and earlier. I lost a lot of money (for me at least; I've been unemployed this whole time so I didn't have a lot to spend in the first place). This video speaks to me a lot… Its crazy seeing how normalized these behaviors are becoming as I struggle to not get back into them….

To be fair, the reason gamblers have the highest suicide rate among addicts might be that substance addictions often lead to health complications and overdose, so the sufferers don't live long enough to commit suicide
In Australia not only do we have online gambling, there are slot machines in literally every pub, it is insanely normalised. Basically every time I go out with my family we will end up going to the ‘pokies’ and the rooms are always packed with people. It’s a massive issue but our politicians love the revenue so they have no incentive to make any changes.
