I used to bet in 2015 when I was in college. I think people forget to state how football players also let down gamblers and lead them into more losses and ruin. From my own experience, I was only betting for goals (mostly over 2.5 and 1.5 goals) and I was doing it in matches that had previous goal performances. Unfortunately, the day you bet over 2.5 goals, your favorite players play like shit, no conviction and no urgency to score. You end up losing and then bet again to try and recover your bet and you guessed it—–you lose again hahaha. Luckily I was in school and didn't have a family to take care so basically, I managed to get out of it. Some of my old collegemates still gamble to date and they have lost a lot of money and relationships. When I watch matches today especially big teams like Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, PSG, Dortmund, the players still play the same, not many goals yet the potential is there. Probably is because of their managers who tell them to defend more than attack. Sports Betting ruined the beautiful game

I can relate to most of these comments in here as a gambler myself. The tribute football match each year is a great idea.
i look to both sides of the fence . on two separate occasions i lost around £1000 on blackjack in the space of 10/20 minutes . on the other side a fair few amount of times i have won good money to treat myself with . money i wouldn't have had otherwise without gambling . either way i will never stop as nothing gives me the thrill more than winning a bet . especially a 3 or 4 fold on the football . regardless don't bet what you cant afford to lose people
Gambling isn’t the sole blame. Gambling is a byproduct of the commercialisation of the game. So if you blame gambling, you blame money. Unsurprisingly, money corrupts everything.

I've always used this yard stick, if you cant win with pence, you whont win with pounds. Love going to watch dog racing, great night out. But I set a limit and stick to it .
Its great something is finally being done! Broadcasters need too step up and refute that money for sponsoring broadcasts. When you look at how much BET365s CEO earnt this past two years. Its appalling the amount of money they give to prevent problem-gambling and the lack of actions they legally have to take.
ISPs should maybe be able to only allow access to a betting website (all websites under one category) for only 30 minutes a day, but you are obviously venturing on issues with freedom.
The game is consumed by money, who else can afford to sponsor the clubs except the big gambling firms. Bit of a cop out in my opinion blaming gambling, football has been heading down this route for a while now, with what they pay players what do people expect.
Also if you’re going to speak on a video about gambling marketing then get your facts right. When you register at a casino or online bookie you set your marketing as part of your registration process, as well as your limits. If you get bombarded with marketing it’s because you chose to do so.
I’m still amazed that alcohol goes under the radar so much, it’s a far greater scourge on the U.K. than gambling ever will be, it’s even present in this video. The anti gambling bandwagon rolls on.

this is something i personally got into gambling, i was betting on just my local team Gillingham & it did get out of hand, i ended up telling my parents at the time i was doing it & they was practically ashamed that i got myself into it. i decided to stop betting completely & decided on something else that would give me enjoyment & that was keeping fit, whether it be going gym, running for an hour a day, just so i take my mind away from it all.
my message to everyone is don’t get involved in gambling what so ever, it’s a cruel thing, & i say this to whoever has a gambling problem please please tell someone.
