Ten years ago, I predicted 2022. Did I get it right?

Predicting the future is a fool’s errand, but I tried it: talking about phones, lifelogging, and social changes. And on top of that: what do I think’s coming in 2032?

And yes, to avoid the obvious comments: I have aged in the last ten years. It'll happen to you, too. And it's better than the alternative!

  2. Ben Bovard

To be fair, the only shortform videos I watch are in YT compilations. Longform may yet reign supreme.

  3. andy klompenburg

  4. Julia Anderson

  5. Ape Mayor

  6. Kayla t.

  7. Meister Eder

"data caps are not something most people need to think about"
    cries in German

I do think short form video is separate enough from YouTube that we will see a divergence. But Long form video just has something that short form doesn't

  9. Daazle

    this was interesting

  10. Alcamie

Short form video is already here and are making money from it. Heard of a little thing called Tiktok?

  11. Luis Rosales

    Bluetooth headphones are good

  12. Mcredsila Jsai

Did you predict that females in 2022 want at least 6'2 and top tier male model facial aesthetics for men when it comes to dating? LMFAO.

  13. Blue

  14. Leonard Kneebone

I can't get a pair of wired headphones to last more than a couple months before the cable frays internally, and they stop working. Meanwhile, wireless headphones don't have cables, so the cables can't break.

  15. Pug 46

Bruh it’s the beginning of 2022

  16. Sally Otoole

YouTube has to live forever seriously

  17. EricTheG--yLiberal

this video just proved to me psychics are not real

  18. Momo _

The prediction is scary. But scarily accurate. YouTube just announced its rolling back on YT originals and expanding shorts and live content.
It’s already happening. I wish I was more shocked.
