I get that I don’t want to touch underlays when playing win bets, but when I’m playing Pick 4s to Pick 6s, it’s not difficult for me to throw a Klaravitch/Brown/Irad into my plays. I’ve hit a 20-cent 12k p4 that had a 3/5 win the first leg. If the horse is a threat, the horse is a threat, and I don’t want to lose legs paying 8-1 to 30-1 bc i was too kool for skool to play a short 3/2.
