Your process/thought process is why I listen to you. It sets you apart from other analysts. It is process with rationale, kind of like when you do math problem and the teacher says "show your work". And at the end of the day these are all just projections, which means theres no guarantee…If you or anyone can know the definite outcome of anything then you would be super rich stealing all the money from bookies.
That said, I DO THINK you should have a section on basketball monster or segment on your podcast where you highlight 10 players with potential to SMASH your projections. It will be a nice supplement to the deep process and math without losing the 'fantasy' that is fantasy sports.

Every year I play in Fantasy basketball Leagues with friends using the ESPN app. However, I’ve noticed some strange things. Like their Category Rankings! Don’t worry! I use Basketball Monster, but out of curiosity check their rankings. I saw mostly everyone on my squad ranked within the Top 100, with the exception of Russ Westbrook, Ausar Thompson, and Jalen Johnson(194).By this method, my worst guys would be Jalen Johnson and Ausar Thompson. However, this doesn’t make sense, given their production. You can’t tell me that Mitch Robinson and Buddy Hield have been better players than Thompson and Johnson. Make it make sense! 😂

The Barnes explanation is good for the listeners. You base your process on as much data as you can. And as managers, we can make the call on if we agree/disagree with the results on a particular player! The more informed the better.
I traded Kyrie and Jaylen brown for Scottie Barns and Jaren Jackson in full pointe league. I ended up getting Kyrie for my 3rd round Cade Cunningham before this trade. I want young dudes who don’t miss games and get points . I think I did ok.

Fantasy projections are like valuing a stock on the market. You find your process and you stick to it. In the long run you ll be wrong on a few and think damn I missed out on some money, but the reality is you saved yourself from so many more losses by sticking to the process
I really don't think you had to explain that Scott Barnes thing to that extent . Anybody who plays fantasy basketball is going to get things wrong You're either going to draft a guy too early who disappoints or you going to find some sleepers late in the draft that out produces their projections?
