This season and past ones are sooo Washington…beat teams like Philly and Dallas but lose to the Browns. And again no playoff opportunity 🙄
If Dallas plays like this versus the Niners, it's gonna get real ugly.
I said all year that Sam Howell was the best quarterback Washington had and they should have gave him a chance much sooner. I think he could of led Washington to a victory over the giants or browns. I firmly believe in Howell, I watched him throughout his career at unc and the young man has the talent and he loves the game. Washington definitely has to go out and find another quarterback to compete with Howell but please Washington don't go get another Fitzpatrick or Wentz, so many wasted millions $ the last 2 seasons on those 2 guys. Don't draft a qb, find a decent free agent qb and sign him to a 1 year deal and let Howell have the keys. Howell also played at unc with Washington wide receiver Dyami Brown who hasn't started his career off like I thought he would but the young man has wheels on him and I saw many deep Howell to Brown passes at unc so maybe that's also another plus with Howell at qb is the chemistry he already has with Brown. McLaurin, Samuel,Dotson, Brown, plus Sims(who I really don't understand why he doesn't get in the game more and have a ton more catches,dude has great size and hands, although it absolutely could be much more about the quarterbacks than Sims) plus of course Gibson. Washington is really stacked with talent on offense and defense, Solid quarterback play is all this team is lacking, sure there is room for improvement here and there and always need more linebackers or db's cb's, offensive linemen but quarterback is what is holding this team back and I think Sam Howell can get it done, I love the heart Heinicke has and I admire and respect the heck out of the gut but he is just to turnover prone, he makes the same mistakes over and over and showed no signs of improving in that department. At some point you have to see steps forward and he just never made any in my opinion. Maybe Washington keeps him on but honestly for the $ I think other teams might be offering him I'd much rather get someone else. I really wish he would of or could have corrected the turnover issues but at some point no matter how much you like someone, no matter how much heart they have, no matter how much you hope they will play great, you have to face reality and that is that Heinicke just isn't performing at the level Washington needs their qb to perform. I wish Heinicke continued success and the best, he gave much hope to me and a fan base that hasn't had much to hope or cheer for in a while.
Oh and for the love of football please don't go and sign Tom Brady, the man is a legend and the legit goat but that's absolutely not the answer… although who better for Howell to learn from than the goat???
Washington was running the same style of offense the niners run and it killed Dallas. There defense stuffed them to points. Sunday will be interesting
