Kansas State outlasted the No. 2 ranked Kansas Jayhawks in overtime, and with that, Kansas State head coach Jerome Tang became the frontrunner for the National Coach of the Year. Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander break down the three-way race for the Big 12 regular season title between Kansas, Kansas State, and Iowa State. They then ask who the best team in the state of North Carolina is and then finish by previewing the Wednesday and Thursday night slate of affairs.

    If Calipari gets this team to Atleast an elite 8 that alone is enough to show the man still has it as a coach. Just from seeing how much they have improved lately is showing Cal still has it. After all the man is a HOF coach for a reason. And Oscar Tishebwe was a man amongst boys last night 💯💯

    I remember KU fans storming the field in football after they beat South Dakota… which one is more pathetic?

    KSU was the equal to KU when Lonnie Kruger was at the helm. Sadly for us (and good for KU) we hired Bill Snyder and the football team rose from the ashes to become one of the best in the nation. KSU allowed the basketball program to linger with Asbery, Wooldrich, and Weber. Weber was just good enough to not get fired every three years. Back in the day we used to joke that Wooldrich should donate 1/2 his paycheck to Bill Snyder. FINALLY the athletic department has invested in a coach that fits our values and understands how to win. Let's hope that we remember what it was like in the 70-'s and 80's (and again under Huggins and Martin). I'm glad that KU seems to have got it together in football. It's good for the state. KU fans need to get used to what the NIL means to basketball. You used to have a leg up in recruiting because you cheated. You cheated and cheated and cheated every year with every recruit. Now we get to pay players as well. Let's see how it goes. EMAW

    Tang should win the Coach of the Year. WHY? Because when he came to K-State there were only TWO players left on the team (NOWELL, MASSOUD). The Cubboard was bare, he had to round up virtually ALL of the troops. K-State was picked last & is currently tied for first. Who has EVER pulled that one off on a short notice? It's a no brainer folks!

    That game you guys were trying to think of recently where Nowell threw up an alley oop to Johnson was the 65-57 victory in Bramlage against Oklahoma State last week on a Tuesday night.
