The Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals was postponed after a player collapsed and received CPR on the field. Buffalo defensive back Damar Hamlin, a 24-year-old from Pennsylvania, tackled Cincinnati wide receiver Tee Higgins at 8:55 p.m. Monday (Jan. 2) — about nine minutes into the game.

Let's ignore the facts: Damar Hamlin wasn't hit that hard, he was hit in the chest pad, players are hit like this many times in every Pro Football game for the last 100 years and this is THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED IN A PRO FOOTBALL GAME.

That hit was not that hard if it's not a medical injury it's only one thing I've personally seen like this . When a women was given a drug by a very mean dude without her knowledge. She just was active one minute and suddenly had the same thing happened just as quickly and unexpectedly. She ended up in hospice as a 22 yr old women . Sad

My uncle had cardiac arrest after my dad's tractor tapped him while hooking up a low boy. There was no one there no one crying he died took medics 25 minutes to get there after 5 minutes on hold with 911. Never made the news so why is this so important? How many lies did Dr. Cardillo tell in one interview?
#1) Assuming his far out suggestion, that commotio cordis alone, a blow to the chest, resulted in ventricular fibrillation, then V-fibrillation would have started instantly when Damar tackled opposing player. Nobody in V-fibrillation can stand up. Damar stood back up, then wobbled, then fell down backwards.
#2) Assuming Damar was in V-fibrillation, he could have converted back to normal rhythm during CPR, and getting shocked with AED, Automated External Defibrillator, is very successful at converting V-fib back to a normal, or at least a better rhythem. ACLS drugs also have a high success rate.
The effective treatments of CPR, AED, and ACLS drugs, did not revive Damar at scene. This informs that something worse than ventricular fibrillation in an otherwise healthy young man, that was started by a chest thump, something worse than that was happening.
My hypothesis is, Damar suffered from myocarditis. The heart's conduction system was inflamed. Inflammation caused current to leak from that conduction system, in response to hard exercise, excitment, or a chest thump. None of those things alone would cause V-fibrillation, but in the presence of myocarditis, it is plausible.
A real doctor would explain what I just explained.
If I understand this, it took 9 minutes to get an ambulance to him. Lay people can use an AED, and it is much better than CPR. Could it be that the reporter misspoke, and part of that 9 minutes "CPR" time actually included use of the AED that was claimed to be available?

I was watching the game. I was looking at the game and my phone. I looked up at the game and saw all the players on the field. Brought tears to my eyes when I saw the video of him collapsing. My prayers and thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Praying for a full recovery🙏
