Using multiple accounts for matched betting is against sports betting company’s terms, but doesn’t appear to be illegal so there must have been more going on here. Going back several years ago, i won roughly £4000 on an acca 11 teams to win for £10.
Id lost thousands with them and never had a phone call or any spouting off about safer gambling awareness crap.
Then when i won that £4000 they blocked my account and wanted to do a full id check on my account. I went ballistic with them as you can imagine.
I expressed how they didnt contact me once when i was throwing my hard earned cash at them. But as soon as i won a decent size bet, they were on me like a hawk.
Bis banning a customer legal??

Im geusssing its a crime to use someone else's bank card tho if your account is in your name is that correct betfred let me deposit using my mums bank card for a couple off months depositing and withdrawing and was a very minimum amount i had £42 in there tried depositiing a few more quid but using my sisters card last week and they got my account blocked with the 42 pound in there was probably my falut using someone else's card tho so not complaining if i was i the wrong but they shouldnt allow it in the fist place if rhey dont like it

He is jailed for using "pet" accounts means fake id's and using other people's accounts to get advantage of promotions on platform.
biggest scams are run buy all online casinos' especially poker websites ..
they wouldn't give me a cashout with man city being the last game for the win on an accumulator for £129k kept saying no Internet access blah blah city went 1 nil up still nothing ended up drawing in the end.
then weeks later I had a bet for £83k and got an email saying due to me already knowing the outcome of the game they retracted 4 of the bets, how tf can I know the outcome of a game that was 2 days away 😲 absolute joke of a company
Oh really. You sit here and talk about them but where do you think the money comes from when you win? I say it has to be coming from those who did not win so your also taking advantage of the loosers right?

Right so what you say is true but you have missed out the bit where he tried to claim back the money from frozen accounts in other peoples names and started court action against bet365 so when they sent correspondence to the customers who the accounts were named in, multiple of them said they had never used bet355. This was handed to the police as a precaution for fraud and through tracking ip addresses all led back to Jon. And part of his sentence was due to Santander and the fact that he disclosed his winnings as a salary from a fictitious job to try and fool mortgage lenders this is actual fraud which carries maximum sentence of 10 years amd he only got half of that
This probably isnt quite what was happening. My guess is, i havent looked into it, but he was matched betting. Santander dont allow customers to gamble, solely on their bank accounts, as in you only use the account for gambling purposes. This raised red flags for the gambler, who would deposit into the account, gamble, then withdraw. Im guessing he had 100s of accounts in santanders name, all feeding money back into the same persons name, so easy to flag.
Bookies are corrupt they have paid off the government and the politicians have made it legal to steal your money and if you steal theirs you go to prison. This is just a microcosm of our society and every level. Shit corrupt government using their power for big business
