I wanted to take some time to discuss positive self image and how it can be used to improve the discussions people are having around martial arts. It does not matter if you do BJJ, Aikido or Tai Chi the principles behind the art need to be practiced and expressed in ways that go beyond the physical practice such as how we interact with others in person and online.

Totally understand. I seem to run into this when I explain things I've learned about taijiquan. When I explain the components that make Taiji a mixed martial art there have been those that deny it who actually practice it.
the elitist attitudes and tearing down of other martial art by ppl who have never study said martial art is the most annoying thing
People want to deny what they do not comprehend. Many people would not know everything especially when they have limited resources. The secrets of martial has been secret so they would not know those secrets so that they do not understand what they do not comprehend. They just need to experience what they are.
