Double up is soo fun. Often times it gives a low number to beat. My record is doubling up 6 times turning a 100$ win into a few thousand. MATT you would love it. Such a rush when it shows a 3 and that's all you have to beat.

This casino is evil. They left the DOUBLE UP feature turned ON Lol. Most casinos have it turned off.
I know the math says otherwise. But on a two pair your better off holding just the face cards. This gives better exposure to the other cards fliping to a quad. Otherwise you leave yourself with no chance on flipping a quad when holding two pair. For most folks getting a quad will bring a smile to a lot of people's faces.
Does anyone know why he never tries for the straight even though he has 4 cards to it? Like 3:35 for example, he has J 10 9 7, an 8 makes a straight but he only holds the J. He does it several other times in the video. Any ideas?

What if you you have a 4 to a straight and 1 high card, such as 3, 4, 5, 6, Queen?
I want my Royal Flush! Yet, it’s so hard to score anything higher than two pair and this video is very helpful 🤞🏻

Thank you for cleaning this up , I confess I’ve been playing the inside straight incorrectly., also was “never throwing away winning hand” ie a Pat flush with 4 to the Royal. I want to figure out when to adjust my play based on the amount of the progressive jackpot. Thank you so much for giving away this valuable information.
Good basic strategy video I agree with her I play strictly video poker in Connecticut you can find 99.9 payback machines pickem poker for instance but what everybody fails to realize on these videos if it's not your day set a limit and walk away because you have to be lucky in addition to being proficient at the game

Throw away 3 flush cards for 2 separate high cards? Actually I learned something new there. I would have gone for the flush, but maybe it's terrible odds awaiting 2 of the correct suit? What are the chances of getting the last 2 of the suit? And what are the chanses for, say 3 of a kind with one of the 2 high cards?
I'VE BEEN ASKED to stop playing Video Poker at the Paris in Las Vegas. Was up over 10k in 6 hours.
the problem i have with video poker is that the royal flush will never hit ever if i am sitting at that machine. the guy next to the right of me might hit 1 and the lady sitting on the left of me might hit one too, but i will never hit one. I been playing 35 years 10s of thousands of hands. Thousands and thousand of dollars into the machine. Never got a royal. I convinced I could sit at a Machine and play it for 24 hrs a day 7 days a week for the rest of my life and drop dead at the machine and while they cart my dead carcuss out of the casino someone will put money into that machine and hit a royal on the very next hand.
I notice I have been doing it wrong so often. These are great tips. Although, I must say it would be hard to throw out a winning hand for a chance of a better if you are on your last dime.

Three times this past summer I threw out three to the royal to keep a high pair and the last two royal cards were dealt. Everyone says it's the right play, and it is, but it sure doesn't feel like it at the time. Absolutely gutted.
