Sergio Perez’s current F1 form is not good enough for a car that’s dominating the world championship in the hands of Max Verstappen.
Perez is in a qualifying slump that is beginning to look worryingly like a pattern rather than an anomaly, and has lost massive ground in the supposed title fight.
The gap was extended to a massive 69 points in the Canadian Grand Prix, where Verstappen won from a commanding pole and Perez had to engage in another salvage job from 12th to sixth.
Red Bull wants Perez to forget about the title to recapture his best form. But that’s not happening. So why not – and what problems does it cause for Perez and his team as they look to find a way out of what increasingly looks like a very worrying slump?

Checo's car is compromised by a very particular setup he needs to have to make the car work to his needs. You can tell by hearing the onboards, where Hugh Bird repeatedly tells Checo to "manage." Last time at Spa, 26 times he was told that during the three stints! How is he supposed to keep a decent gap to Max, at least? Perez couldn't push because that would've ended up eating his tires – hence the "management" cry out all the time from his pit wall. And why has Checo's car been terrible on tire degradation compared to Max's? Maybe because magically, Max became the real tire whisperer, and Checo – who's been known for his tire management skills for the past ten years, just suddenly forgot how to drive and go for large and quick stints? There's been a couple of driving mistakes on his part lately; no questions about that, but it is NOT all up to him. But the media, instead of making a REAL journalism investigation and finding the root cause, goes only with the simplistic conclusion of "Checo is just a mediocre driver who can't challenge Max" and comfortably ride with the mainstream wave.
They are going to win the championship constructors 1and 2 place what the f more do you want from him . Max has 2 will be 3 only since Perez got there and developed that car . So why make these videos full of hate and nonsense racists ass holes

It’s a difference in talent, that’s the bottom line. It doesn’t help that Perez is under constant pressure to perform at Max’s level.
Honustly could see perez wrecking max soon. Hes trying to hard to be max, and compete against him. Hes to stubborn to realize he just isnt as good and to just race his race. In the begining of his rb journey he was just racing and was happy but over last few years he has it in his head hes better then nax and it is hurting him

Look, I don't believe that Perez can actually beat Verstappen over the course of a season, but Horner won't allow him to even TRY and give any sort of challenge to Verstappen……RB won't allow drivers to compete as long as they're comfortable in constructors….. they'll Ensure their Number 2 doesn't even come close to ever Challenging their Number 1!! Please Red Bull get rid of him because it seems like the only chance to see for a title fight is another driver in the same car as Max. If you could get leclerc in the other seat now that would be a good season 0f f1. If they don't do that then she changed the rules to get other teams closer
Redbull cannot win both championships with one car
You people gave him false hope with all the nonsense of him beating Ver (not even close to ros-ham situation) and once the reality hit the poor guy cant stand up. He is not competitive, he is chubby and approaches driving as 9-5 job, leave the guy alone!
You cant arbitrarily decide you know whats going on in the RB garage about perez. These are just speculations. I think anything can be true and we wont know until RB isnt paying perez the big bucks.
