Anthony Bennett is a 6’7 forward and is widely considered the top Canadian player in the class of 2012. Bennett mixes power and athleticism with a nice shooting touch from the outside. Bennett plays for CIA Bounce for AAU and Findlay Prep during the school year.
Also I want to add a theory I have, he played very very good in high school. I think possibly he just physically matured very young so when he was in high school he was relatively good compared to the other kids he was playing against. But that left no room for him to evolve physically by the time he got to the NBA and now he was playing other adults and that's when it became clear he couldn't compete at that level.
I feel for the guy. Obviously he didn't ask for all that pressure to be put on him he was just playing and he was very impressive Obviously to some professional scouts. It's just weird how he played out, but man that must I've been a difficult thing to live with and I hope he's over it though. To go from being the number one draft pick and all these hopes and dreams being laid out before him. At the very worst it seemed like maybe he would be not quite up to the expectations and end up as a middle tier basketball player in the NBA which would still be an amazing position to be in. But he didn't achieve the super stardom, didn't even achieve the mid-tier NBA player, didn't even achieve NBA player. And at some point along that Journey he just had to realize that he's not going to live out that dream or come anywhere close to it and all the people that were disappointed and felt like down by him and all the cruel media attention put on him after that. Like I said must have been hard to deal with. We were pretty hyped for him up here in Canada when he got signed number one pick. But I guess we'll just have to revert to Nash as being a guy
