What Jalen Carter’s misdemeanor charges mean for 2023 NFL Draft | Pro Football Talk | NFL on NBC

I think he should. Have his license tookin cause you can't bring those people back
Interesting take but personally I think it will affect his stock just because some NFL GMs want the “clean prospect” and although in the eyes of the law he was charged with a misdemeanor it’s still a blemish of his record. Who’s to say with his NFL money he doesn’t buy a fast car and go racing around. In wasn’t long a ago Jeff Gladney died from speeding and Tavarius Jackson also died from a speeding accident. We also have the Henry rugs case.
Been waiting for Mike's experience on this rather than all other speculation. Glad you're so clear about legal issues that arise in the NFL
Jalen Carter: There’s no I in team but there’s an M and an E.
It was a major part of back to the future
JC DON'T FEEL HORRIBLE HE LEFT THE SCENE OF A CRIME
HE WILL BE CHARGED EVENTUALLY TWO PEOPLE DIED
Someone should get charged with vehicular manslaughter
Ummmm. I absolutely disagree. It's gonna cost him millions of dollars. He might still go tenth or so but he won't be going in the top 4 . And if anything else comes out in the next couple of months he could slide out of the first round all together. Teams don't like taking dudes that are mentally challenged.
The NFL should be able to discipline idiots who commit crimes pre-draft…suspend them from the draft or let it be known they have a suspension of some amount coming their rookie year.
@Chris Simms – The right thing would have been coming forward soon afterward. The right thing would have been remaining at the scene and offering aid to his teammates and friends. The right thing would have been not to race in the first place.
How is the reckless driving/racing unrelated? He wasn't out there racing himself. Nor was this the first such incident for Carter that season. Indeed it has now emerged that a third player was present, and while not charged for the events on that night, was in fact charged a few days previously. It would seem that a culture of reckless driving and racing was somewhat endemic within the roster. Perhaps the media should be asking what the UGA leadership knew, and why they failed to intervene? Did their negligence partly contribute to the accident?
only reason he didn't get a charge for drunken driving is because he fled the scene and left for an hour..he left his teammate to die and lied to officers. The pundits downplaying this should be ashamed.
I guess I would like to know was he drinking that night? (Probably yes) If he had not been drinking but he knew his friends were drinking why would you engage in a street race at 2 AM. I'm sure he'll get through this but expect a big civil lawsuit of the victim's families. I don't know if they have a case but that has not stopped people in the past.
Chris Sims is a hater. How can it "hurt" him? LOL
Jalen Carter is a dishonest person….He left 2 dead friends after playing ,let's race kiddie bs,putting others with the 2 dead in harms way…..Jalen Csrter saw his 2 supposed friends crash, gave em both the disrespect by leaving the crash, lying bout his whereabouts, cones back couple hours later to do what…I'll text ya what..He wanted to see if the coast was clear .I'm sure he only came back because of the news report of a warrant being out for him leaving..To any team out there….this is a dishonest; lying ,pos who would bail on anyone to save his own skin…unreal whatta coward he is
I think GM’s and owners of team’s care more than you think about a player choosing to be involved in a high speed reckless race on the road that lead to people’s deaths.
Good thing only a couple of people died it's not your family chris no sweat let's not judge him everyone does stupid stuff that results into death.
That's a pretty dumb stance to take after the Henry Ruggs incident. Good to see your morality in action. Driving drunk, racing, and leaving the scene of the accident for over an hr then lying to police about it is NOT an "Eh, no harm, no fowl" situation. Next time he probably won't be so lucky. He will be the dead person or he will kill someone else.
“Who you think you got Jalen Carter?!”
Bolts fan here and damn this dude don’t miss 😂😂
That was a good one.
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
As a chargers fan I just want things to change 😅😔
Chiefs will experience what Pats fans experienced when the AFC East was easy for most of the past 2000-2020
Why did the raiders hire the broncos failure. Like did they think josh was going to be like billichick😂 or however you spell that shit. What a loser that guy is
As a chargers fan, I’m both dying of laughter and disappointment
Next thing u know their gonna hire Kim kardashein as their head coach
D😊
Btw your using the old chargers logo
Check his e-mail first…🤣 RN4L
Broncos country, we tried
The Chiefs: Same old same old
The part that got me was the:
“I was talking about these goobers.”
“HaY wE aRe NoT gOoBeRs”
👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
the chiefs really went from (the chiefs are gonna get demolished by there devision) to (the chiefs have no competition)
The Raiders hiring McDaniels is what fucked the team
Brooo amazing shout out with Rex Ryan!! He took the Bills number 2 defense all the way to bottom 2 in 1 year.
Some Bears content would be appreciated.
The way this season went…
Honestly, check out the entire Bears season and then tell me when something this ridiculous has ever happened before.
AND they end up with the #1 Overall Pick due to a last second, 4th down play, and then converting the 2 pt conversion…
All done by the Chicago Bears old Head Coach!
But that's not the most ridiculous stuff that happened to that franchise during the 2022 Season.
Plus, we have the Draft to look forward to, AND more Cap Space than any other team by a long shot.
Broncos county let’s cry
