Big Ry and the Fat Guy explain what is a moneyline bet in sports betting.
Ever wondered…
What is a moneyline?
What is a moneyline bet?
What are moneyline bets?
What is a moneyline in sports betting?
How moneyline works?
How moneyline bets work?
How do I read a moneyline?
How does moneyline payout work?
How are moneyline odds calculated?
So basically just divide by 100, and that will be the payout?
Example:
+220/100= 2.2. For underdog
100/-250= 0.4. Inverse For favorite
Got it 👍🏽
Thanks fellas this video was super helpful for someone that's new to this like me.
Not a good explanation. It’s all based on $100. If you pick the negative number, that’s how much you pay to win $100. If you pick the positive number, that’s how much you win if you bet $100. Example: -140 means you pay $140 to win $100. Example: +115 means you pay $100 to win $115.
Thanks for this. I’m super brand new to money line betting. Maybe I missed this but I have a Question, how do you guys figure out the calculations of $ you make back? (How do you figure out that you’re getting $10 for every $1) (let’s say colts vs eagles, I picked colts +220, how would that work?)
is a moneyline bet just picking the winner no matter what the point spread is,your only picking the winner even up
I hope your next video has more useful insights than this one did.
Is there any way to determine if the money line numbers are "fair" to bettors ?
When you are betting against the number, you can take either side of the same number so there is no way
for the casino to manipulate that. But how can you tell if the money line payoff for each, or either, team is fair ?
It seems like casinos could easily manipulate the payoff for either team to be less than it should be.

Put another way, if the Money line was -303 in this game for Dallas, can you calculate what the
money line on Buffalo should have been ?
