Anthony Bennett didn’t ask to be taken #1. He didn’t ask analyst to overrate him in desperate search for the next big thing. The next great narrative. The next Lebron. Canadian basketball was on the rise around 2013 and Bennett was supposed to lead the charge. At least that’s what the league wanted. He never really had a chance. Had he been taken later, I think he would’ve still been in the league. That pressure was too much. What else stunted his Growth?

Bennett actually became a decent player, at least 3pt shooter, at some point in his career. Had he not gotten hurt in pre season with the Rockets in 2019 who knows?

I knew he was a bust when I tried to use him in 2k franchise roster and I couldn't get any buckets.
2000 draft was def worse then 2013. Giannis Goebert and Oladipo def better top3 then the best in 2003.
You should do an entire video on the Cleveland Cavs commentators and their waning enthusiasm for Bennet and his missed shots… it was hysterical, especially as Bennet continued to miss and have a lousy NBA season… this was prior to Kyrie and Lebron’s rings… pretty funnny

Yes it is solely his fault that he's a bust.
Bennett is by far the worse bust of all time in NBA history in a 2013 draft that really wasn’t stacked at the same time besides Giannis. Didn’t even think he was good at UNLV, probably one of the many reason why teams are now careful about picking overhyped prospects.
