UK for an SEC dark horse? They play Ole Miss, Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia so the schedule is tough but going 3-1 with a loss to Georgia or potentially 2-2 with a win over Georgia I feel like either of those scenarios would warrant them being in the conversation
Georgia, Alabama and Ohio State are my for sure picks to make it in. The 4th???? Hard to tell, maybe Clemson just because of their weak schedule?
ur clemson only inclusion from acc shows u no little. Yeh, like they just need to make afew tweaks on offense… THEY HAVE NO QUARTERBACK YO!!! U want an acc team tha DOES have a great QB, AND and great D like Clemson? Its NC State.
I keep seeing everyone splooging over Miami this year. They haven’t gotten over the hump of average since 2017? Recruiting sure, but a shit load of teams recruit like crazy and get nowhere close. They haven’t proven they can get there yet. Texas recruits better for christs sake and they have no chance this year in my mind
Michigan State fan here… I expect them to be better than their 7.5 win o/u but I don't expect or want to see them in the playoff this year, their not ready yet. This years team will be out Kenneth Walker but will be as good or better in every other facet of play, 8-11 wins seems reasonable.
If JJ McCarthy starts for Michigan, the Big Ten will be shitting its pants. Talking potential Heisman candidate. The lack of schedule could get in the way but you give the dude more reps in the first half of the schedule when it's soft, I promise that dude will be elite in bigger games. Very athletic, fast reaction time, quick thinking skills under pressure, and has a cannon on him throwing dimes.
I agree with all of your dark horses in the ACC but I’d toss in Boston College. Big questions on O Line and D Line, but great skill positions, a legit NFL QB, and a dynamic secondary. Not saying the Eagles will make it, but I could see them making some noise.
LSU over TENNESSEE?
Wow. Kinda lame there.
One of the Utah teams will make the playoffs.
If ND beats all the high schools it plays they will automatically be in! They have an agreement with the NCAA, if they go undefeated they automatically get an invite to the dance! No matter who they play!
Sleeping on Kentucky for sure I’m a Georgia fan but there a true dark hirse
I would have included Penn State, Wisconsin, Cinci, UNC, and maybe Nebraska and Florida. I also would have excluded Texas because I’m not convinced it’s not another Texas hype train that will end in disappointment.
Texas? They solved none of their problems on defense and have no proven pass rusher. I don't think so.
OK State should be included with B12.
22 teams CAN make it? Not even half of half of that are real contenders year in year out. OU and to a lesser degree ND prove that. But… That's why we play the games on the field
Teams with a chance. tOSU ScUM bama uga Baylor Utah Clemson. Imo only these 7 have any real chances.
As a Buckeye I expect this year to be the buckeyes year. Come out hair on fire and play like underdogs.
I'm a Miami fan and I don't even want to see them mentioned in anything regarding playoff talk or ACC championship talk. They have to earn that
With all the transfer portal additions, Nebraska has to be considered a dark horse in the B1G.
We have to see what Texas does to Alabama before I can see them as a contender. If they can give them a run for their money or even beat them, then I can call them legit. I would say its Baylor the most contending team since they still have most of their defense. Oklahoma lost a lot of players and a head coach and they looked very shaky this last year and Texas, again, you shouldn't lose to Kansas, especially in the fashion that they did. I agree though that there isn't a true dominating force in the Big 12 so far.
Oklahoma state
Kentucky, Tennessee, an Florida all 3 could be dark horse potential CFP teams. I don't think Georgia is gonna be as dominant as they were last year. I expect them to fall of a little. They could catch a loss to any of those 3 teams. An any of those 3 teams Could come out an win the east any given year.
Houston
