Streaming live sports isn’t as easy as streaming … pretty much everything else. In this video, Craig walks through the basics of how to get your fix of live sports, whether you watch baseball, football, basketball, soccer, or hockey, and whether you live right by your favorite team or 12 states away. The gist is this: in order to stream live sports, you can either use an out-of-market streaming service like MLB.tv or NBA League Pass, or you can sign up for a live TV streaming service like YouTube TV or Hulu Live to get access to your local games. Either way, you’ll get the basics of how streaming sports works as a cord cutter.

I live in Baltimore and yes I cut the cord. I would love to be able to watch the new and upcoming young Oriole players, but the worse owners in baseball own the network and since I cut the cord I’m unable to watch my home team play. And I refuse to pay for Direct TV streaming app.

So really, there’s no TRUE way of watching ALL your areas local teams with one service? or even two? Jesus. They want us all to spend an absurd amount of money just keeping track of one sport… for those like me that love them all, this all has been extremely convoluted.

Does anyone live in Charlotte NC and want to watch the Braves? I think I need to get Sling? Our local channels get blacked out sometimes. Also I love college football and NFL but can miss or go to a friend’s or a sports bar for those. Suggestions welcome.
