The 1984 NBA Draft yielded arguably the greatest player to lace up a pair of sneakers. North Carolina’s Michael Jordan was the 3rd overall selection by the Chicago Bulls and went on to become a basketball and global icon. His teammate Sam Perkins joined him in the first round as he was selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the 4th overall selection.

Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon (born on January 21, 1963) is a retired Nigerian American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Olajuwon played center for the Houston Rockets, whom he led to back-to-back championships in 1994 and 1995, and the Toronto Raptors.
