Sometimes I wonder about our fans. First that narrative that TTUN forced a submission this year is such BS and lazy analysis. The game boiled down to breakdowns on 5 plays for 350+ yds. You can parse those anyway you want to justify any narrative but those breakdowns are fixable. Problem is, some of our fans are spoiled and think you can just get rid of Day and Nick Saban 2.0 is waiting at the door, just begging to be let in. Michigan fans thought the same thing with Carr, and how'd that work out? The grass isn't always greener, sometimes you end up in the middle of the desert. Btw I'm not saying Day can't be criticized. I just have issue with the few unrealistic whining idiots who go off the rail on emotional rollercoaster and thinks its cool to troll the team (why would you wanna sh8t on your own team; in public and troll their social?!). If that's not you then we're good.

Go blue unbeaten all of 2020s

  3. Caleb Leeson

There’s been several delay of game penalties throughout the regular season that shows somebody isn’t on the same page. Either they can’t agree on a play or Stroud has terrible awareness I’m not sure but I’m betting it’ll get better for us.

  4. Author Jeff Kosiba

After the Zach Smith scandal that forced Urban Meyer out, those of us in the know were on board with bringing in Bob Stoopes.

  5. AngryOtterFishing614

Ryan Day not having head coaching experience was a big risk, I mean Ohio State isn't the place where you cut your teeth head coaching.

  6. Paul

If Ohio St wants to be soft, Day is right for OSU. He does less with more talent in a bad conference, than any coach.

  7. Pberry Berry

U brought this up so I'm going to say it If Ryan Day beats ✖️ichigan in 20 we wouldn't even be having this conversation & Hardball might be gone. The other thing may not be true but I heard JJ McCarthy wanted to commit to OSU & Ryan Day held him off & McCord committed the very next day. U give motivation to a QB with his talent & 🔥then you're asking for trouble. When I heard ab that I said to myself if that's true this could turn into a huge issue. Day is going to get better the problem is will OSU level up in NIL & next yr we have to go to Ann Arbor with an unexperienced QB & play against an experienced JJ. The best possible outcome is to beat Georgia & get a shot at ✖️ichigan again & win. Unfortunately I just can't see it happening as much as I want it to

  8. Jay Bees

Who is better that would replace him?

  9. greenturtle407

I want to be clear, I am NOT in the camp that says just fire Ryan Day. However, having said that, I had a coworker make a point the other day. The point that he made was this, all the Ohio State coaches that have loosing records against Xichigan are not from Ohio or Xichigan, they are from other states. Cooper (2-10-1) is from Tennessee, Ryan Day (1-2) is from New Hampshire. They just don't understand the rivalry, it is hard to get into it unless you are from Ohio, or are a die hard Ohio State fan. I think that it is fair giving him a couple more years, and hopefully we are looking at the National Champions after the playoffs are done.

  10. Marvin Walker

Coach Day was a part of Urban Meyer's staff and he learnt absolutely not a dam thing.. When he did win the big games it was with Urban's players. Get ready Columbus for the new John Cooper.

  11. Bloomer58

OSU paid 2 million for Don Brown 2.0 lmao. Enjoy beating below average teams and getting those defensive stats padded until you play an offense with a pulse

  12. Ryan Nichols

    We like Day too!
    GO BLUE

  13. James Toney

Who cares! Both will be eaten alive by DAWGS! Unless TCU and Max Duggan beats MissShitAgain! As for O-Cry-O State, you have to face them DAWGS. That O-Cry-O State defense is soft AF. I'm sick of hearing about how good these Little 10 teams are. The DAWGS actually have an opportunity to destroy two of them this year! What a playoff season!!! GO DAWGS!!!!! If you think I'm a liar, or wrong just go see my Uncle Lou's channel and let him know what you think about it! Let him tell you that the "Suck- nuts" have almost no shot! Especially if Staquavious Bennett shows out! That boy can Ball out if he is turned loose!

  14. Rick Mick

As a diehard Super Fan of THE OHIO STATE Buckeyes I'm All Day every day he is growing an don't forget he put up 62 on ttun in his first year an will win many more

  15. David Scott

My wife is a lifelong Ohio State fan and so for over 40 years I have mostly been also. I rooted for Ryan Day to do well when he took over.
A couple of years ago he very arrogantly stated that Ohio State was at the same level as Alabama and both were in a class above everyone else. I don’t think that he’s arrogant but that statement was. I cringed because pride comes before the fall and I said “ Ryan, you don’t know what you have done! “ the last two years he hasn’t even made it to the conference championship game and has lost to Michigan twice I think.

I would say that Clemson did qualify for the playoffs but was overlooked because they struggled and were ranked lower than usual.
    Read the following for proof.

ONE ) Just to get you to think outside of the box

I understand the logic of USC loosing their conference championship and dropping in rankings
and the first one out steps up. In this case #5 Ohio State stepped up to #4 and USC is out.

However, if you compared the two teams based on the playoff committees criteria, USC comes out on top.
USC played in a conference championship- OS did not qualify to play in their conference championship.
USC played a much stronger schedule especially at the end- OS was criticized all season for having a much softer schedule.
So using the committee’s criteria, USC makes a better case to be in the playoffs than OS.
I am not suggesting that USC or Ohio State should be in the playoffs. Just trying to get you to think outside of the box.

    Two )
When LSU qualified for their conference championship they had two losses.
The committee started that if LSU won the conference championship they would make history and be the first two loss playoff team. A two loss conference champion would definitely make the playoffs.
Question: Is this only special for the SEC or a new standard for all conferences. It seems like if it’s good for one conference then it should apply to all conferences to be fair.

    Three )
Last year I discovered that in order to be eligible to make the playoffs you had to rank in the top twelve. This implies that the four best teams in the top twelve, based on the committees criteria, not necessarily rankings, would be in the playoffs. It does not mean the next one moves up like mentioned in point # one USC/OS.
It’s also interesting that we will soon have a twelve team playoff system.
Once the conference championship games are over the committee should reevaluate the top 12 teams based on their criteria.
Most could be eliminated easily. Teams with 3 or more losses. Teams that did not play in a conference championship, etc.

USING THE COMMITTEES CRITERIA, THREE TEAMS FULLY QUALIFIED BASED ON THE CRITERIA.
ONE TEAM CAME VERY CLOSE. Picking the four teams should have been a no brainer.
Using the committees criteria, how can OHIO State be chosen over any of those four teams ?! ! !

Prior to the conference championship games the rankings were more like the AP pole and subjective.
Three teams were chosen using the committees criteria and Ohio State was not. One team that met the criteria was not chosen. Choosing Ohio State was subjective and you could make the case that another team such as USC better fit the committees criteria.

    Four )
I submit that there are three teams that fully met the playoff committees criteria and TCU who came very, very close but lost their championship.
I have no qualms with TCU making the playoffs considering only three teams fully qualified .
Ohio State is not one of the four and should remain ranked #5.
The three fully qualified teams are #1 Georgia, #2 Michigan, #3 Clemson. Based on strength of schedule Clemson should be #2

For those cringing at Clemson just look at the following facts

    The committees criteria to decide.

The goal of the playoff committee was to pick the best four teams at the time of selection to be in the playoffs for the National championship. That is what has been stated in the past.
The best four teams ranked in the top twelve and best meets the criteria make the playoffs .
Clemson was ranked # 9 so is eligible to be in the playoffs
Clemson was one of only three teams to fully meet the criteria.

Conference championship = Clemson is the ACC Conference champion
They won quite decisively with Cade as QB and cleared the bench the last seven minutes even putting in the 3rd string Quarterback. Take a look at the game statistics.

Strength of schedule = Clemson has played many ranked teams and the two teams that beat Clemson were ranked at the end of the season.

Won loss record. = According to the playoff committee, having two loses is acceptable if conference champions as we have already mentioned.
Again the committee stated that a two loss conference champion would definitely be in the playoffs ( apparently only if you are in the SEC )

Could the playoff committee be required to clearly state in writing the criteria and the weighting of each one ?
Could that be applied equally and fairly to everyone?
I don’t expect everyone to agree but it would be more fair.

Based on the criteria Clemson should be ranked second

If that were the case then the possibility of a Clemson v/s Georgia rematch would make for a really good national championship game.

I think podcasts would love to jump in on this topic because so many fan’s feel strongly that there is bias and extreme unfairness in the selection process .

Podcast https://youtu.be/JBE8L2G9Wbc this talks about Clemson being a totally different and better team with Cade as Quarterback.

I would say that this podcast and the information provided above gives evidence that Clemson is one of the four best teams at this time.

Michigan ducked Ohio State in 2020, that is a fact and that program's credibility is forever tainted from that. You can't blame Covid when you had practice the literal day after

  17. Brian Kaufman

Jaxon Smith-Njigba sitting out is cowardice on his part. He should be totally healed by game day against Georgia, but he is bailing on his team for future dollars in the NFL Draft. Note to him, greed will get you nowhere. Go Bucks!!

  18. BubbleGum ;P

the whole big ten is overrated

  19. GrayHairDontCare

If Ryan day wants to stop the criticism, then he needs to go out there and learn how to coach in these playoffs with this talent he has. That simple

  20. Danny Korakas

Naw. Love OSU, but ultra woke coaching at a ultra woke university. #soft
