Disagree a little with panel as poor old Frankie. It wasn't such a successful ascot. Reasons he misses the July cup now the number 1 race he wanted to win in UK this year. It is also with all due respect to r.ascot uks most prestigious sprint(all age sprint unlike ascot) all presently due to miss UK second most important race eclipse. Saying this from owners point of view and average ratings, stud valuation etc (just behind York's international). So ascot for Frankie was definitely no better than average. He's feeling it now. Best to be careful riding in UK esp for huge international races later on.
“Gold Cup glory on Sunday”
"People who succeed have momentum. The more they succeed, the more they want to succeed, and the more they find a way to succeed. Similarly, when someone is failing, the tendency is to get on a downward spiral that can even become a self—fulfilling prophecy." —Tony Robbins
Boring crap as usual. The racing industry is so insular, who cares about Royal bloody Ascot! This show is dull as anything, won't be watching or subscribing any more.
"The successful warrior is the average man, with laser—like focus." —Bruce Lee
Lee, I thought my computer was running slow, has Ascot taken all of your energy? Pick up the pace please
Horses have no idea the time humans spend scratching heads and disagreeing over them, they just run and have fun and we spend hours trawling over then. 😂👍🏻
Thanks keels for khaadem. boom.
Dettori not the best jockey but the biggest personality by far , there is no other present jockey who has shown a big personality and I'm afraid that is what racing needs to make a upward curve …..
Tom Marquand worst jockey off the week the rides he gave were shocking on sacred and especially Rally in the Albany 🤢
We have Frankie TV mania till November maybe he should look at Ruby Walsh he even surprised Willie Mullins. Just said that's it I'm retiring. No fuss and fawning presenters. It's going to be a long season ITV seems to want to milk it
when will they stop dick riding frankie he is weak could of won more but got out muscled
I must admit, I thought King Of Steel was just something of a fluke who slipped his Derby field, but I was wrong, the way he quickened of a slow pace means he's not just one dimensional but is a real decent horse, just a pity connections choose Ascot over the Curragh.
By the end – the bookies and the punters could put a line through any of Appleby's runners. Something up with the stable for sure.
One thing that isn't touched upon but should be at the forefront of all these discussions – did any punter win and was their enjoyment spoiled by backing losers in just about every race?
Personally after a few days I just had one, maybe two bets per day as the racing was so tricky. The bookies must absolutely love what this meeting has become and their pricing up of some of these handicaps was nothing short of shocking.
Please stop making everything about Dettori. It’s very tiresome
I think Royal Ascot 2023 was the most successful festival of racing ever.
