Thanx 4 that…… x
When it comes to Nick Foles, I agree that Nagy wanted Foles because he knows what Foles can do from his time in KC. As someone who's infatuated with the QB position, it's the one position that's more about the neck up as opposed to the neck down. It's a cerebral position simply put. Size is superfluous. No one expects to be like a Peyton Manning for instance and read defenses like the back of his hand but you got to able to see the field, understand coverages, check-downs, etc. Trubisky is a backup.
Staying with the QB theme, I think the world of Carson Wentz. However, 6 Ints in the 1st 3 weeks isn't great. Plus, when you have a coach in Doug Pederson who was essentially coaching not to lose, it can fracture a QB's confidence. If there's any position in sports where you must not lack confidence is a QB at any level. On top of that, Eagles D needs to share some of the blame. It looks like Burrow had that swag that Wentz needs right about now. Give me the 49ers (-7) without question.
The Chiefs D is playing well, especially shutting down QBs. They've held opposing QBs under a passer rating of 100 in 9 straight games. I love New England and its duo of Michel & Burkhead in the backfield and that is the key. Cam Newton is playing great and he's looking like MVP Cam from 2015 in chunks. With that being said, the Chiefs (-7) is what I'm on board with.
Me & Rachael's Falcons are going to get grated by Aaron Rodgers in Lambeau Field. This defense couldn't stop Shane Falco and the Washington Sentinels or even Polk High led by Al Bundy. If he got 4 TDs in the state championship game, he'll get more vs. this defense. Like Jeff, there's pride in guys like Grady Jarrett. However, it could be a long night in Lambeau. Begrudgingly, I'd take both the over and the Packers (-7).
Good job!
