I used to go to The Roxy in Vancouver B.C. and these guys were the house band known as Dawn Patrol. They were a tight band even back then (although their drummer wasn’t the best). I was happy to see these guys “make it” but was a little disappointed they never achieved a higher level of fame. Good times though from what I remember 😂
These guys will be live at Pigeon Lake Music Festival and I can't wait to see them!😊👍🏻

What I love about the 90's, there were a bunch of Canadian bands that had hit after hit that they never received the recognition they should've received. The Odds, Sloan, Moist, I Mother Earth should've exploded but alas was not meant to be. All we have are memories.
I saw Odds open for Gin Blossoms (I think) and they rocked! From there I bought all of their CDs. Still a fan!

Just such an incredible song.
Besides the obvious two great singles, this album had song depth. The old cliche' every track is great is actually pretty spot-on for NEST. I can't think of a record from 96/97 I liked more..? Beck Odelay, Cake Fashion Nugget and Weezer Pinkerton didn't have more great tracks than NEST…
True story: The Odds came to play my American college (Cornell University) winter of '97 as opening act for The Barenaked Ladies. I was probably the only fan of The Odds in the entire theater, everyone else was there for BNL. I interviewed the Odds backstage and then they said "Is it true that Ken Dryden played hockey for Cornell when he was in college?" I told them yes, and a minute later, they demanded I take them to the ice rink. By pure coincidence, it was 'open skate night,' so before I knew it, my girlfriend and I were suddenly ice skating with those hockey nuts The Odds. They were such cool dudes and it was truly one of the most random and awesome evenings ever.

Fantastic band and this is my all time favourite song… too bad the video blows but that was CanCom in the 80's/90's.
