My Post-Spring Preseason Top 25 | College Football 2022

After spring games, practices, the 2022 NFL Draft, and the May 1st portal deadline have passed, it is time to revisit my Top 25 and adjust it accordingly. The Big Ten and SEC are represented as the best conferences in the nation and take up the entirety of the Top 4 and most of the Top 10. The state of Utah and the Big 12 are also nicely represented. Many teams that did well in 2021 will carry over their success into this calendar year and some have shown it in recruiting, spring practices, and staff improvements. Like every year though, there are always teams that take a step back, fall off the table completely, or come out of nowhere and have amazing success. Each of these kinds of teams is represented in this post-spring Top 25. I briefly talk about my thoughts on each team’s schedule, offensive and defensive depth, and coaching staff. Look out for BYU, Nebraska, Kansas State, and Purdue as teams who will exceed expectations and Cincinnati, Oregon, Kentucky, and Iowa as teams who will take a sizeable step back.

I am currently up north helping my family clean out our family's cottage for a yard sale. The service up here is marginal, so I won't be replying to many comments today, but I will try my best to get to some. I will be home tomorrow afternoon, so I will respond to more comments then. What do you think of my Top 25? Tell me down below!

  2. Kenneth Burleson

You have to be a Yankee or Utah resident….. BYU to the playoffs.??…..You are at least good for a good laugh with my morning coffee…. BYU.😂😂😂😂😂…. that's RICH .

  3. Kenneth Burleson

Clemson at #15…..Bawawa….. 😂…..this is evidence, you know NOTHING about College football….We have the. BEST defense in the country…. DJ will lose his job to the #1 QB recruit Cade Klubnik….Go ahead and under estimate us…That's when we win Natty's

  4. Patrick N

Love the respect for cincinnati. Evan Prater is going to surprise a lot of people for sure

  5. Frostyfire 4

    Texas A&M???????

  6. Garret Milen

    This sucks bro

  7. Cass Taylor

Dude, Ok St and Nebraska? You went on big reaches there. Michigan State deserved to be in front of both of them.
Penn State will be better this year than Nebraska by far.
Kentucky should be on the same track as Arkansas.

It doesn't matter where you put GA, they're going to finish at #1 after all said and done. I smell a repeat by GA.

NOTRE DAME IS going 2-4 from the following games. ohio st. , USC, BYU, CLEMSON, STANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA. The reason i throw Stanford in there is because it is a rivalry game. Stanford has beaten Notre dame in seasons where stanford wins five or six games all year but some way some how they beat Notre dame. that is what rivalry games do. they bring out the best in your rival no matter the records. same can be said about USC.

I love arky but there is no way they win every other game besides Alabama in the SEC. THERE are just to many landmines. i see them with three SEC loses and the BYU LOSS to boot. so a four loss team is never in the top ten shoot not even in the top 15 . If they played in the ACC i would see them winning ten games. not in the SEC WEST.

    A&M isn’t a top 25 team? Dumb

  12. Marc Anthony

Let me guess, this list is made by a Big10 fan? 😂

I think you have my vols way to low. I think they are a top 15 team. There offense was the fastest scorring offense in the country and also fast offense per play snaping ball with a average last year of 32 sec left on shot clock. The duo with hooker and Tillman is lethal. Vols almost beat Pitt last year. They play again and will kill Pitt. I don't see Pitt ahead of vols. I see vols going 9 and 3 could go 8 and 4 or even 10 and 2. I think coach has vols on the rise back to where they where in the manning years 90's early 2000's. Just look at who they got so far on recruiting. For 2023 class example nico 5 star qb 2nd only to arch manning. They are taking all of ohio state top recruits.

  14. Juwan Taylor

    Michigan wolverines #1

  15. Malik Beasley

    Ohio State over Bama?🤣
I'm not even a Bama fan.. but they return everybody lol

  16. B Swann

I think preseason rankings are usually close but then I remember the year 2000 Oklahoma was ranked 23 and won it all

  17. B Swann

You must have picked this list out of a hat

  18. tianzi49

did anyone ever tell you that it is clear as a bell that you have a dog in this ranking derby and that is the Big 10 conference … I mean did you watch the paddle spanking that Michigan received at the hands of UGA by the score of 34 – 11 … and final yard stats of – UGA for 521 yds. vs 328 yds. for U of Michigan …. and did U of Oregon beat OSU in the "Shoe", no less, even w/o their stars DE Thibodeaux and LB Justin Flowe who were sidelined …. overrated!! w/ the same weak defense and also w/o Olave and WIlson in 2022 … sir, mark this OSU ain't going to the playoffs in 2022!

  19. Geraud Fenicle

Nebraska, Minnesota and k state over MSU….

  20. Hike Dayley

ND could stun the Buckeyes in the opener
