Run line betting is a type of betting that sportsbooks offer for baseball betting. In this video I give an explanation of exactly what MLB run line betting is, but I will also explain it below.

The sportsbooks will list a run line like this:
Boston Red Sox +1.5 (-150)
New York Yankees -1.5 (+120)
The +1.5 indicates that the Red Sox are getting a run and a half. This means that in order for a wager on the Red Sox to win they could either lose by exactly 1 run, or just win the game out right.
The Yankees are listed with a -1.5 on them, which means that they must “cover” the 1.5 run line. This means New York would need to win by 2 runs or more in order for a run line wager on them to cash.

Why would someone one bet $150 in order to win $100?? That makes zero sense. I thought you bet to make money, not lose it.
Newbie question: Is it written in stone, so to speak that if any one team is favorite on the "runline" like the twins in your first example…that that same team will be always the underdog on the "moneyline". I assume that the +1.5 or -1.5 is just a separate statistic and has nothing to do with the winning statistics as the money line clearly shows in your example.
Thanks for the video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you considered – Riddleagan Kings Software Remedy (do a search on google)? It is a good one off product for getting an automated betting software minus the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate at last got great results with it.

There are no such things as half a runs in baseball so it is confusing at first.
Beginner bettors who don't know what a "MLB Run Line Bet" is. Like I said this is a very basic video for beginners.
