This number 1 overall draft pick was a bust in 2021 posting a 0.91 batting average, 1 Homer (first career), and 3 rbis. He had a chance to be the everyday centerfield but didn’t provide much offensively. He did however have one of the Phillies outfield’s best defensive plays. I thought the title of this video was a joke .. and I guess it is ? Moniak is probably the biggest, most expensive bust the Phillies have ever had. No blame on Moniak – he just wasn't ever any good, except in high school, which counts for absolutely nothing. Thank goodness he's gone.
He will most likely play everyday with the angels unless he struggles
Thank god he’s done in Philly
This video’s about 3:50 longer than I thought it’d be
He's only had 11 starts at the MLB level, and has averaged only 1.9 plate appearances per MLB game he has played. Hoping he finally gets a legitimate chance to either succeed or fail at the MLB level. No minor league season in 2020 and being recalled from AAA eight times in six months for brief stints riding the Phillies bench disrupted his development. He's set to have a breakout 2022 season, and I hope he does well! I have a feeling it's now or never for him.
