Stay hungry Youngladys beat them #Geauxtigers #lesgeaux❤
Reese cooking is enjoy watching
Michigan women basketball team are really not that good. I mean they lost to a MAC team on their home court. Why? Because that team, Toledo, out coached, and out played them.
Turnovers LSU-7 Michigan-16
Rebounds LSU-46 Michigan-26
That is the game in a nutshell, you can't produce points if you don't protect the ball. And you surely can't produce points if you're not getting rebounds. Reese had 24 rebounds, but it wasn't because she was unstoppable, it was because we weren't boxing out. And it's funny, because that's what they were talking about in the pregame press conference. I think Brown and Kiser gave up in this game, from the start. Brown who is perhaps our most prolific scorer, only had 3 points, Kiser who is our key low post player, only had 4 points. Phelia was the only player who showed up, heck even Evans played well with 8 off the bench. Imagine if Brown and Kiser wanted to win, this would've been a totally different game, and even outcome.
But this all falls on the coach, she didn't inspire them, she didn't motivate them, she didn't light a fire under them as senior leaders for the team. She just sat on the bench and watched her seniors give up. Maybe they didn't believe they could beat LSU, it happens. Confidence comes and goes sometimes, but that's why the coach needs to reassure those players that they can win, believe in yourself. We faced some of the toughest competition all year, LSU is no different. Barnes allowed her team to give up, leaving their collegiate career on a sour note. It happened with another senior, who could've made a difference in this very game…Izabel Varejao. A 6'4 senior center who sacrificed her modeling career to carry on the basketball tradition in her family. Her uncle is Anderson Varejao who played in the NBA. Her sacrifice, resulted in being left on the bench as a senior, never getting the chance to make the sacrifice pay off. And that is once again, on the coach. Not respecting Varejao's sacrifice, basically disregarding what she left behind to play for Barnes. You REWARD her for that decision, not leave her on the bench to collect dust.
If Varejao played for Mulkey, you bet your last dollar Varejao would not only play throughout the season, but she will definitely be a key player in the tournament. Because Mulkey understands the importance of dedication, and Varejao would be granted a special place in her heart, due to her sacrifice. Barnes on the other hand, doesn't understand sacrifice, she talks a good game…but doesn't put it on the table. Maybe Varejao was a bit "soft" in practice, or she lacked a few tools in her game. That's what the coaching staff is supposed to work on, right? Then again, Varejao got a lot of playing time ironically alongside Naz Hilmon? So if she's good enough to play with that team, which was BETTER, why was she left on the bench with this team? It appears Barnes and Varejao didn't see eye to eye, or she favored Kiser and Williams so much, that she chose to not play her. Either way, the coach is to blame ultimately. A freshman in Evans has seen more playing time, even against top teams, but a senior 6'4 center does not? Something is off with this picture, and I think I know what it is.
My Wolverines didn't lose because of bias officiating, we didn't lose because we didn't have the talent, we didn't lose because we had a bad shooting night, we loss because the coach is mediocre, she doesn't want to truly win. She's happy with being recognized, not being recognized as a top team in the NCAA. One Kim wants to win, the other Kim is just happy with complimentary acknowledgment.
Women trying to act like men and falling way short.
You guys need to crank up the volume
Congratulations
LSU has the nation's number-one recruiting class coming in next year. 2023 is supposed to be a stepping stone year for the program as it positions itself for championship runs. This team has exceeded all expectations.
Angel a problem & she could of did more she takes possessions off 🔥🔥
Yes indeed LSU 😳😳
One game at a time 😊
LETSS GOO LSUUU
Why is the audio so low on these videos???
Garbage game. Lsu not called on obvious fouls and Michigan called for non fouls based on what lsu got away with. Is it so hard to call the game consistently?
Corrupt Homer lsu referees.
This isnt real basketball
20-20 Game 👀👀 SHEESH!!! Angel Reese is a BEAST!!!
🔟RESSE IS A BADDDDD GIRL 🥰😍🤩
ITS A PARADE INSIDE MY CITY YEAHHH 😂🤎💆🏾♀️🖤✊🏽👊🏾
All these cry babies needs to stop crying. If you can't handle playing physical basketball then go back to your mommy's basement
Great interview.
Poor baby BIlas, cry more. Go Vols.
Next year Kentucky better get to the final 4 with the talent they are getting with these incoming freshman. 4 Five star players in the top 11 incoming. Coach cal has come up way to short in March in recent years.
I bet Bilas literally cried while seeing Tn beat Dukes eyeballs in 😂😂😂
I give the ass kissing in this bit a 7.
Most informative interview I've heard in many months.
Jay looks good for 59!
I lost any shred of respect for coach Cal this weekend. From being dismissive about our coach and his career, to taking jabs at players. He’s a scumbag and hope he retires after the worst season in school history next year. To be such a prick and blame the loss on everything But his own bad coaching says everything you need to know about him and his program. He allowed Markquis run wild. You can’t just recruit anymore. Learn to coach. Time for the real wildcats to take their place. KSU
(34:32) I Got two families, I could hang with either one of them. 😳
The NBA needs to re-adopt these incidental contact fouls. This is just 1 of many, many reasons College Basketball is so much more watchable and enjoyable than the NBA. It's like I always said "What's the most boring play in Hockey? Icing. What's the most boring play in the NBA? The first 46 minutes."
I wonder what Izzo would do if he coached Cal's current team? I think UK would be in the Sweet Sixteen.
I guess now everybody is throwing out the narrative that Tennessee wasn’t playing basketball, they were playing rugby, or hockey 😂😂😂😂. Even FAU coach mentioned it in his post conference. Louisiana from that first game was pushing Tennessee around and being physical. Refs didn’t call any fouls. Louisiana came back from 18 down by getting physical. Are y’all serious?
The general hypocrisy around basketball physcality these days ought to be named for what is. When Zion Williamson bodied up against people, it was called good basketball. Oscar Tshiebwe bangs around under the basket as much as Plasvic does for the Vols. Bottom line is when a lot of these broadcasters like a player, physicality under the basket is considered good basketball. When the scrum falls to players less skilled, or maybe even less liked, suddenly the game becomes a "hockey" match.
Lol you white men are so anti black basketball players making the $… NCAA White BOOMERS are so out of touch, it’s insane
Jay Bilas crying about fouls LOL
Forgot how annoying Bilas is
I watched the Duke- Tenn game and I thought it was a disgrace. I have watched every NCAA finals since 1965 and practically every game. This was inexcusable.
Being an MSU fan, I can think of two players I never expected to be very good in the NBA who had great careers – Scott Skiles, and Eric Snow.
Very good interview with Jay, I could listen to him talk all day..
