Sure he is the GOAT. But the Defense work of the opponents was.. how to say that nicely.. bad, very bad.
Messi might be the GOAT but sadly we will never know, he has always hidden in uncompetitive domestic leagues in great teams up till now to protect brand Messi $$$ (one or two horse race leagues where the skill gap between the clubs in it is massive).
This league is by far the most competitive domestic league he has ever played in but he has taken a step down standards wise to allow his skills to shine and protect the brand to continue the marketing $$$ (most of his marketing once retires will come from the GOAT tag so it is important not to risk that).
The good news is that it looks like he is still hungry to play and isn’t just here for an easy retirement. The team definitely look brighter with him and Miami should be challenging this year !

Wait why don't you accept the fact that in Odi the bowling plan is different than in t20, in odi a spinner would be bowling straight line, whereas in t20 the bowlers are mostly unorthodox, mixing the line and length, so if surya thinks he can take on bowler in odi as he does in t20 then failure are bound to happen, even after hitting for a boundary in an ODI, the bowler will not change the line and so as a batsman you will miss one for an lbw or hitting the stumps, surya needs to play the deliveries on merit, play sweep, cut, pull shot on merit and not like in t20.
