The only people who win in gambling are the house and the government. Everyone else gets screwed over.

Massive bubble! Options trading is same thing!

It wasn't when we, naively, thought it might just be something to do on the side. Most people probably didn't expect it to instantly turn into a major part of sports. The knob should've never been expected to stop at a 5 when it could be cranked to 11 asap.

Does anyone know why the internet was created initially? Same reason as casino..theft or transfer of wealth and collection of your information. Woops 😮

It's not just sports betting anymore. Award show betting has become popular recently, so the reach is spreading into different popular media.

What kind of cut do these pro teams get ? I know a lot of pro teams are trying to get onsite gambling at the stadiums.

When it became legal in Florida I started to sports bet. Had some good luck but I started to realize it took the joy out of the sport and put excitement into the gambling. I didn’t really care about the outcome I just wanted to win, once I lost my main payroll I said I’m done. Brought the excitement and joy back and no longer glued to my phone during the games

A note on self exclusion: if you self exclude yourself the company will do almost nothing to prevent you too keep gambling, but on the off chance that you win big the house will stop you from collecting based on the fact that you self excluded. Has happened in casinos before
