What about if you had laid the tips on the Exchange? I guess you would be breaking even less commission.

Oddschecker is owned by the same company as Betfair, Flutter.

Whenever I've watched Hugh talking he comes across as a decent honest type of bloke, he must realise the claims by ATR are misleading and try to do something about it, saying that he still is very good at his job, cheers.

Afew days ago Taylor said he had a 40/1 winner but it was really 20/1 or less😢

The bookies obviously getting the tips first.
Apparently some tipsters are told what races too tip!! Pretty dodgy that

Is it possible to lose edge when these guys sell their tips?

I have been following your videos for a long time and i love it! But i have a a question!
Im trying to figure out how to count my ROI while trading on betfair. lets say I Lay 100$ on 0VER 1.5 goal to the odds 1.50. Then my risk is 50$ should I count my Stake at 100$ or should i count only the risk at 50$ when im trying to calculate my ROI%. Please help me on this one Cean!

I always thought Oddschecker was bent. Nice to have evidence to prove it.

Good investigation which could only have got those results done live as you did. Retrospectively checking published tip time vs oddschecker times and odds movements wouldn't have thrown up anything fishy. Great work.

If anyone decides to follow a tipster they will be in the poor house in no time at all. The Bookmaker also always has the edge especially in handicaps. I was in bookmaking for many years in a small bookies in Gidea Park in Essex. From my experiences with punting I now have a slight edge on the bookmaker but don't win fortunes I find that it pays the rent each month . I like to bet on first time handicappers and distances on long odds on shots , Also stakes races are easier than hcps to work out.

The tipping service investigation videos have been both interesting and informative. Thanks for sharing and all your hard work Caan. Might I make a suggestion that you do a betting challenge involving invited guests. Perhaps someone who does make a living from winning bets. It would be interesting to see how a month of their tips faired versus say your own method and would be fun as a casual viewer to watch but also get insights into betting professionals and the kind of winning tips they are able to produce.

  19. The Teenage experiment

Bet365 recently asked for a bunch of extra verification after withdrawing a decently sizeable portion of money (withdrew multiple times before at smaller amounts with no issue). What is their aim with this strategy, do they hope i'm unable unable to withdraw so they can lock up my money and I'm never able to access my account again? Do they have a policy where they can take the money in your acc if u haven't placed a bet for a certain duration?
