This point can be debated until the beginning of next season. the truth is, none of us has a clue. However, anyone watching the playoff games or any of the major bowls games saw the giant disparity in talent and competitive ability between Colorado and anything close to a top 25 team. Therefore, the brazen manner with which Coach Prime has begun his tenure is easily understood and most welcome to any Buffs fans who have a clue about real football.

Colorados schedule is brutal. Last 4 games are pretty much guaranteed losses. Who finishes the season with 4 straight road games against the top teams in your conference??
How far? They are clearly behind Oregon, Oregon State, USC, UCLA, Washington, Utah… Washington State as well.
Coach Prime has a very low bar to jump over. 1-11 is horrible. I do not put anything past Coach Prime. If the young men will buy into what Coach Prime is selling. I think a Bowl game for sure. I have been a Deion Sanders fan from the Atlanta Falcon/Braves days. I was the man hit a ball he thought was out. So he was just jogging to first base. But when he saw it was not out. He made it from 1 to 3 in 13 seconds. No one could do that.
Ya know… just because he was the big fish in a little pond doesn't mean he can be a big fish in a much bigger pond. Js
Media is garbage. If he doesn't live up to THEIR standards they will destroy him as a failure.
He will not make it to the playoffs
The problem is with these transfers coming and quickly changing a program doesn’t result in national titles. Georgia did it through recruiting along with Alabama, Clemson, Ohio state and LSU(aside from a few players) but transfers won’t get you a natty win just end up like USC or TCU which means you can be a let down at the end of the season or get blown out by a team that’s just more talented
If they go .500 this year it will be a success… anything over and it's a great success…
Next year will be GA and AL, then everyone else.
So with Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and others. Your saying a team full of transfers going to overtake them. It's good to dream. What about USC? They might be better than a 500 team at best. JSU made his record beautiful. Now all of that is about to change. Careful what you wish for.
Just because he was a great NFL player doesn't immediately make him a winning head coach? He's proven absolutely nothing yet so to say in year one he's going to the playoffs is completely foolish? All about the name and hype.

They can compete next year. Look at TCU. Yes they got blown out in the Natty, but they went 5-7 last season and got to the national championship game in Sonny Dykes first year. Tulane won 2 games last year and 12 games this year beating USC, who also turned it around in one year. Coach Prime will get the players. It's all about how the talent plays together after some coaching.
