And with how the last series between the two was, that potential ALDS would have made the Lightning look tame in comparison.
I wish we would not act like the Astros already have the WS won because they swept Seattle and Yanks. Those teams didn’t match up good with them. Philly is a different story. They have a lineup of young aggressive hitters carrying big sticks, a lot like the Astros. Not sure about their pitchers but I do know the ace is, like JV, capable of shutting anybody down if he is halfway “on”. I read and hear the stuff on media that has Houston in a sweep, because the Astros are “the best team in the modern era”. My oh my, less than a year ago the Astros were cheating despicable bastards, so where did this admiration come from?! Who knows but I prefer the accolades to the hate speak I’ve had to endure for the last 4 years or so. However, prematurely crowning us champions is a load of Bullshit until we prove it. It is terrible cover- of- SI- level bad karma to promote that sort of talk. It is rude and disrespectful of the Phillies, it is the cause of the disease of over confidence, its symptoms are cold bats, wild pitches, costly errors, etc. The underdog feeds on it and goes on to beat the mortal hell out of the favorite. We’ve all seen it in football, and it is tough to watch (viz., Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns to name a few). It happens in MLB too. Hey Stros, don’t read your own press until this thing is over and won.

ALMVP is Jordan Alvarez. Yankees is weak and the Astros had a more meaningful season. The judge was unable to let the team win in the end. Astros had more wins during the season.
