John Michael Schmitz a much needed pick for the New York Giants, however, there was also a much needed requirement for a guard too. Good draft but since some area of needs were not address not a great draft.
We should have taken all decade guard quinton nelson instead of barkley. Imagine a line with him thomas and neal. Gettlemen is dumb and from an era of football where they thought having a top 3 back every year wins you a superbowl. I cant even remember the last time even a top 5 one was part of a superbowl winning team. The postion is irrelevant and if you have a good line you can plug in anyone.

Your coverage was better than they whole of the NFL during the draft they spent most their time cutting to commercials during Giants picks and NFL’s worst move was having the camera fixed on the irritating boring presenter who spent the whole day patting their own backs and on the Giants last pick they avoided it completely we just had to put with a bunch of A hole talking about the jets and putting up images of Jets players so yep we’ll done to you And a Official YOU SUCK! I always get nervous when they draft a player, then start considering moving him. I'd rather have a top-quality right tackle, than a decent left. Not everyone changes over well.

I love the way Poles is building this team. He's focused on the trenches.
Carter may have the type of mentality to play hard during his rookie contract and then once he gets paid a long term deal, it’s coast city. Not sure how productive he’ll be for the longevity of his career.
But who knows? He may ball out and be the HOFer based on his generational talent. I know the Bears had too many holes in the roster to take a gamble on a kid who’s head was elsewhere during the draft after the fatal car wreck.

The Bears didn't draft Wright to sit on the bench to start the season. Of course he's going to be a day one starter. He might already be the best player on the OLine as it stands.

the only people it was confusing to are people that dont understand football, and all they care about is the jerry jones big splash moves. did you watch the bears play football at all last year? did you notice how bad the line was at protecting fields? in case you havent noticed, its the year 2023, and this is an offense first league. every team with a defense first identity always loses. look at the vaunted eagles defense, and how bad the chiefs carved them up, and not allowing a single sack.
you build your offense first in the year 2023, and thats what poles did with the first pick. he got DJ moore and the best right tackle in the draft, plus all the other picks. and you clowns are over here whining about jalen carter, even though they got the guy from FL that is massive to go along with billings to stuff up the middle, which will allow the LBs to make plays, just like eberflus wants…but no lets whine about taking a guy that tossed will anderson around like a rag doll all game, and hasnt given up a sack in two years in the SEC. the same guy that will anderson said he was easily the best tackle he played against in college. but i mean what does will anderson know, its not like he was the first edge rusher taken in the draft or anything…
Carter has issues. If it was just one red flag you could overlook it for the talent. But having the legal issues and the out of shape training really makes him look bad. Bears may regret passing on him but Eagles could regret taking him also. Bears can't afford the risk. Eagles can. It's that simple
This guy needs to get over us not taking Carter, from a locker room & character perspective it did not make sense.
Every player we drafted was picked higher than their draft grade…Poles trying to show he can out-think the draft board. We shall see…I'll I saw was the very good teams were drafting very good players at the right spots, few head scratchers
