That doesnt disprove the NFL commission itself isnt rigging games. They wouldnt be rigging games to bet on, they are rigging games to increase viewers, which is harder to detect.

At the end of the day, betting is about closing line value and getting good prices (odds) compared to the market. You need to do everything to act like the casino not like a gambler. And the way to do this in the long run is with math.

This is all so stupid. For starters, "sports" are not even sports – they're entertainment. If competitors are employees getting paid and/or a judge is involved, it simply cannot be a sport. Are games rigged? Don't know but it would seem really silly for the entertainment industry to not maximize profits. Then we get into the insanity of the federal government being involved. There is a mountain of data on refereeing in the NFL and NBA. You either 1) assume referees are well beloe average IQ and don't understand their own rules or 2) games are rigged. In no other profession can you be so wildly inconsistent and bad and retain employment. Sports gambling is stupid and so was this episode.
I feel like watching this is helping me enjoy pro sports again. Even though a lot of those scandals were basketball related. Ouch!!
Kind of funny calling the stock market rigged, while simultaneously talking about moving lines just based on the amount of money being bet. The illusion of betting lines being based on which team is favored by their skill or matchup is a scam.
