Fixed Odds Wagering, What will it mean

We are definitely in favor of bettors having as many options on where to bet, what to bet, how to bet and types of bets as possible. It is how it should be.

We all know how frustrating it is when a horse you bet at one price going into the gate crosses the wire at a lower price. Fixed odds will alleviate that issue. Is it a savior for racing? We are not ready to go that for but it is certainly a viable and welcomed option.

How will it work alongside an existing pari-mutual system remains to be seen. Will winning players be limited or capped on their wagers, and at what point?

There is a lot to discuss and even more to observe how it plays out. Monmouth Park is introducing fixed odds wagering in New Jersey and we can’t wait to see it in action.

Michael Vale and Jonathan Stettin are joined by our man in Las Vegas Paul Zilm to talk everything fixed odds.

Thank you for tuning in and we hope you enjoy the show.

When sportsbooks do fixed odds horses, Do you think Caesars will be the name trading instead of william hill?

I think the future is exchange wagering. I know they tried it in New Jersey, but if TVG or America's Day at The Races educated the public and really pushed Exchange wagering I think it would be very sucessful.
