Craps Maximum Odds Bet

Craps Maximum Odds Bet is a a video discussing advice I hear a lot which is “you should always max out your odds bet.” But is this good advice? In Craps Maximum Odds Bet, I not only describe the common misconception but always showing a live craps roll that gives an example of the volatile results of maximizing your free odds bet.

Mathematically in this scenario, aren't both hypothetical players exactly the same, except odds guy has higher volatility? They are the same on the pass line bet, and the odds bet is going to zero out over time and many trials. Not sure why these hypothetical players would see much difference in what they are doing.

How about comparing A Bet place bets same amount as B bet backs up line bet.

Come on…do the math. Max odds is the way to go on a "normal" table = generally limit the odds to 3/4/5. Bad advice from you. Shame. Will be looking for your "Iron Cross" strategy next.

I only think it's a good idea to do max odds on a table that's winning me money. Not starting out with max odds! Am I wrong?

You need at least a thousand decisions before you can decide which is better.

whu wouldnt the point number dictate the max odd bet or bet on your odds . i mean 4 is alot harder than 8 or 6 ……… it would decrease your odds to play max odds on the 4 or 10 but it all depends on how lucky you feel also . feel vs odds

I always start with $300 on a $15 table which allows 100x odds so I never actually max out but I do lay heavy odds depending on the point and circumstance. I play the line, the six and the eight and that's all. When my bank roll is small I bet min on 6 and 8 and let winnings press three times. If the point is 6 or 8 I lay two times odds. If the point is 5 or 9 I lay one times odds. For 4 and 10 I don't lay any odds. You can use this strategy all night long and your bank roll goes up and down but basically stays the same. The key is to recognize when the table gets hot then take huge risks if you want to make money. Usually it's that "one guy" who rolls 15 times then hits the point and you made a good deal of money. If he sets a 6 or 8 as a new point I'll put $300 in odds if I have it.

Your videos have some great strategies, but you are always make mistakes.

Good Video although you should have paid odds. This is a comparison and to be fair the odds should have been paid. Just my opinion. Love your videos though!!

    If he paid the 8s Odds 60:50 the end result would've been A:340 to B:375 (265 + 110)

The advice should be play the max odds that you can afford

Where in Florida did you live?

It depends. Yes, mathematically, max odd will in the long run be better in the long run but you’ve gotta have the bankroll to do it. But locally, most of our commercial casinos are at least 20x odds so max odds there are difficulty unless you have a bankroll of $1000+. There is also an Indian casino that’s 3/4/5 odds, make more sense for maxing out odds there.

I have only personally seen max odds max out at 6x. Thats betting dont pass tho. So ill bet $10 dont pass then $60 on the odds. The house edge is 0.2%. If One could bet $10 on dont pass then bet $1,000 on the odds, that would be a house edge of only 0.013% 😆 that would be crazy lol.

Best best is to bet on dont pass then bet the odds every time. The house odds on dont pass is 1.36%. The house odds on the odds bet is 0%. That averages out to 0.68% house odds. There is nothing better in the house! Besides counting cards.

There are dice games in Florida you would have to go on the Casino Boats

I usually play at a $10 table with 3x4x5x odds. I have often seen players play the pass line with no odds and no other bet! What you're forgetting is that a player taking max odds is not going to have the line bet as his only bet. He will have place bets, or as in my case, come bets. On the rolls you showed I would have made a killing on the come bets! Plus, it's a lot more exciting when you have money spread around than simply waiting for one number or a seven to appear. At least, that's the way I look at it.

Odds are only a myth, that is giving you advantage over house, it's dumb. When the point is established…4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, you're automatically in disadvantage position against number 7 !! Simple statistics and probability !
