Kevin was poor, losing easy balls without fighting. His passing was no longer cutting edge. For me, it's understandable. Pep chastised him publicly.
The reason a lot of people believe people in epl don’t understand football is because they are obsessed with stats, guardiola is not a statistic manager, he has what he expects from you while the rest of the league managers, pundits and fans are counting goals and assists, this is the reason most epl fans still counts grealish as a flop when his manager loves him
Pep have a way of keeping his players on their toes. You can’t reluctantly be a regular in his team. Under a different manager KDB will dictate how he wants to play
Without kdb, city's win percentage is higher because Bernardo and gundogan is better at defense and they are holding midfielder so it is almost impossible to get the ball from there. But with kdb, we can shoot more because he created more chances than Bernardo and gundogan combined. Just some players' finishing isn't that good.
He deserved the dropping, he's been one of our worst players since the world cup return in terms of overall performance. Even his first touch and control have taken a nose dive, along with his short passing. But, despite all that, he's still contributed with some great assists, and had a brilliant performance last night vs Leipzig so as they say, form is temporary, class is permanent.
Kdb was on fire last night, so yeah he clearly needed to be dropped for a period of time as he hasn't been firing at 100%. Good moves from Pep.
