Ronaldo nazario was spectacular in a number of occasions, Cristiano Ronaldo was spectacular every single season he played.
CR7 is a better goalscorer and has a better career and longevity. But technically speaking, about what a player can wiht a football in a football pitch there is no comparison to me, i would choose 1997 Ronaldo over any version o CR7 all day. No player scared the world like Ronaldo did back when he was at his prime, people didint know how to describe what he was doing, unfortunately the injuries stopped him.
Literally a joke, R9 was great, but not on CR7 level. Messi and Ronaldo went back and forth for a decade. The person many people is the goat is only rivaled by CR7

By their logic then R9 is better than Messi as well since according to them he had the best attributes of Messi and Ronaldo combined. Can they get any dumber 🙄🙄🙄
The problem with that question is that any player at their peak, could possibly be the best player that ever was. Eusebio at his peak might have been better than Pelé at his peak. George Best and Ronaldinho at their peaks might well have been better than Messi and Maradona and so on. It's all about how you remember that player, how you felt during a certain match, etc.

I'm a UTD fan but original Ronaldo from Brazil if not over used by clubs & country , allowed to recover from injuries properly He would have been the best player ever. He would have overtaken Best & Maradona as the Greatest.
Not even a debate. Ronaldo all day long over Cristiano Ronaldo. Remember Ronaldo scored 414 goals in 606 matches. And he also won 3 FIFA World Player of the Years and 2 L'Equpe's Ballon D'Or. He also did this when football was more defensive-minded and the referees did not blow for fouls for any ticky tack challenges, meaning defenders could get away with anything. He also won the biggest trophy in the footballing world, the World Cup and also Copa America 2x. Today's generation (especially the nauseating Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo supporters) don't even understand this, they just look 800 goals for Cristiano Ronaldo and think what a great achievement but will not take into account the teams he had, the changes in referring and the attacking freedom of the 2010s football.
Not to mention he never had the club teams that Cristiano Ronaldo had with Manchester United and Real Madrid. He played for Barcelona and won 3 trophies, went to Inter Milan who never had great league form in the 90s and where injury really derailed him from 1999-2002. And then goes to Real Madrid, but Florentino Perez sabotages everything but buying big-name attacking talents and never bringing any balance to the teams. Have a bit of respect for a true pioneer. Its because of Ronaldo that the likes of Messi and Crisitano Ronaldo can play the way they play. Before Ronaldo, strikers used to just be fox in the box. He literally changed the game for forwards.
