Ramsey is a good shepherd, because his listeners are sheep!

I put $200 on a parlay two months ago. I won $800 and managed to pay off all my bills. I’ve been a Dave Ramsey follower since 2019.

Is it gambling if you have the Sports Almanac from the future with the ending score of every game for the next 50 years?

  4. @dwadholm1

It will be $50 billion in five years.

  5. @mitshua

    I bet a thousand on a team that wasn't even playing 😭

  6. @jodido7625

That’s less than $60 per adult citizen. Non story.

  7. @macfastang1236

And people think Super Bowl isn’t rigged? They won’t leave $7 billion to chance

  8. @jonlicquia1618

97% of bettors lose money long term, but there are professional gamblers that make millions of dollars as a career off betting.

I don't really care what people do with THEIR money, what grabs my goat is people that NEED my tax money to support THEIR families blowing it on stuff like this. Stupid doesn't reach with this.

Lives have been ruined by legalized online gambling. Just one of many examples where the interests of big business has come before our national interest.

I played bingo one time in my 20s. Won $60, bought a nice new pair of work shoes. Never played bingo again.
A few years later on a cruise my brother (who really does gamble responsibly – small amts for his income then stops when it's gone but usually he breaks even) encouraged me to try a game of blackjack. I played a hand, won (coincidentally) $60, tipped the dealer cause bro had said that's what you do if you win, and watched bro play the rest of the time. It paid for part of an excursion on the cruise.
Some people get entertainment from gambling small amts of money, some don't. The problem comes when people can't stop. Personally I feel like it's a waste of money done regularly but mostly I just don't get fun from risk — some people do.

Before there was sports gambling, there was/are state lotteries. . . . everywhere.

    And I win $2/$5 every day . . . by NOT playing!

  13. @exceedinglyaverage1179

All that money being bet and people still think the NFL isn't rigged

  14. @ghostmane2643

I actually lost brain cells listening to this.

  15. @BlkFrieza

Louisiana legalized sport betting over mobile apps one week before the Super Bowl and $4.5 million were bet just from Louisiana with a population of 3.4 million people including people under 21 in the population (so stupid)

  17. @countrymusic30

Funny how they put a Draft Kings commercial that I couldn't skip right before the video about gambling started.

  18. @walkietalkie1973

Didn't watch the game but it was recorded. Watching it this weekend and having the super party along with it. Hope it is a good game.

  19. @timgallagher1743

Do you play the dark side of craps?

  20. @MikeJohnson-oz7uk

I bet $10 and won $300 in an office pool.
I personally don't get any kind of thrill out of gambling.
Me or my wife could not care less if we are never in a casino again.
