College Football’s 2022 season is still a few months away, but with spring practice wrapped up Josh Pate put the call out on Late Kick Live Ep 272 for some of the boldest predictions Pate State has to offer. Will CJ Stroud break any of the P5 passing records Joe Burrow set back in 2019? He’ll almost certainly need a run to the national title game to make it happen. Could we see a season Washington breaks through to 9 wins upsetting Michigan State in the process? What would have to go wrong to see three Big Ten head coaches fired at the end of the season? What are the odds the College Football Playoff sees 2 new entries again this year like we had with Cincinnati and Michigan in 2021? All that plus the possibility of UGA vs Florida being a surprise matchup of undefeated teams in Jacksonville. How can you possibly as good as last yr when you lose that many studs.Still dont know how Bama scored that many in Atlanta.Hats off to one of greatest teams off all time.
I see USC representing the PAC 12 in the playoff.
The key to Arkansas's season in that winning or losing at least 2 games is incoming transfers:
*Drew Sanders
*LANDON JACKSON (could be a huge star immediately!)
*McGlothern
*Brini
*Jordan
*Haselwood
NC State is a non factor, just another irrelevant team
Tennessee will beat Alabama.
Arkansas going to college football playoffs
A&M will will go 12-0 and make the sec championship and play in national championship game. Now that’s bold!!! Coming from a UGA Fan
NEBRASKA BEATS MICHIGAN THIS SEASON !!!
ARKANSAS is going to be HARD to beat for EVERY TEAM THEY PLAY !!! IMO ARKANSAS IS AT LEAST A 10 WIN TEAM THIS SEASON.
Michigan's schedule, aside from the game at Ohio State, is candy.
Tbh uga better not sleep on them boy in Knoxville. The only real threat to em in the east. Unless.. you're drinking KYs tea which… Clearly I am not
6:43 "Yet…"
There will be a new national champion this year. And it will be a team that nobody will see coming.
Arkansas will win 10 games and play in a NY6 bowl in 2022.
The fact that you think Harsin was done "extremely wrong" tells me that you don't know the man.
Great segment! Yeah, Ark does have an interesting schedule. With Cincy, BYU & Liberty, that's three of the better G5 teams in the country right there.
And what nimrod put Ohio St, Mich, MSU, & Penn St all in the same division? Nothing but tomato cans in the B10-West. But 10-2 would absolutely be a let down for Michigan. I mean who would the other loss be to? MSU or PennSt at home? Iowa?
Damn. Georgia’s schedule is worse than Clemson’s.
Georgia offense will be top 3 in country
UGA will go 11-1 winning the east. They’ll lose to Bama in the SEC Conf. Title game being knocked out of the playoffs.
At this point, there appears a pretty wide game between Bama, UGA, OSU and everybody else. Clemson will have to earn their way back to that top tier. Southern Cal and Texas A & M will have to prove it.
I know you're just speaking on odds, but Washington ain't beating Michigan State.
I just wow. I meannits gonna be hard for Florida to be undefeated but seems more likely than 2 brand CFB teams in back to back years
Screw the suckeyes
Eastern Washington coming from The Big Sky Conference is no joke to overlook. A hang over from a win at Tennessee and looking forward to Missouri could lead to an upset loss, ala App State at Michigan.
Recruits are getting paid 1 million dollar contracts to commit to schools that have the ability (Alabama, Oregon, Georgia, USC, Florida, Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee ect) college football is dead.
Good guy, get rid of red kneck undershirt! Lose a lot of creds! Epect to see a trailer park in the bkgrnd!
Boldest prediction…..msu wins the big 10. You are welcome.
Yes, keep these coming guys.
2 new teams in the CFB is a 10 on the boldness scale. Utah seems the only team on that list with a legit shot at making the playoffs. Just being realistic here in the middle where nobody is.
I agree that I think three Big Ten coaches getting fired is unlikely, but if three did happen it would be Scott Frost, Mike Locksley, and Tom Allen. Scott Frost is the easy one to see happening. If they start the year 1-4 (not crazy unlikely) I think he gets the boot.
Mike Locksley's Maryland team is expected to at least make some noise this year, bowl appearance at the very least. So let's say they only win three games (Buffalo, Charlotte, Indiana) which isn't that far fetched then I could see him getting fired.
Finally, Tom Allen at Indiana is probably the least likely. However, if they only win 1 or 0 games (OOC games are Idaho, WKU, Cincy) then there would definitely be some rumbling and they might make a change.
So I'd say a 9.5 is a bit high as all those possibilities don't seem that far fetched and if they happen I wouldn't be surprised at all seeing a coaching change. Still though definitely at the high end of the boldness scale.
FYI fellas Joe burrow got pulled from a lot of games early and still set those records. Just wanted ya to know 🫣
Interesting that odds for Penn State and Miami are greater than Florida consistently the conference games they play. Apparently Ohio State is such a great mountain to climb that apparently the odds makers have no confirmation Penn State can get the win and win the conference. The real oddity is Miami. There isn’t a single program in the ACC right now you say is the runaway winner of that conference.
Its kinda funny you act like OSU has a cake schedule. If the normal B10 teams are ranked OSU will face 6-7 Top 25 teams.
Ohio States offense is really good. Obviously but can someone explain to me why they think it’ll be better then last year where they put 2 1st round receiver a few oline and a TE.
I can see Washington winning 9 games. I'm not sayin they will but, the path is there!~ ROLL TIDE!
Seeing as Burrow doesn’t hold any national records, I don’t think CJ stroud will have a hard time.
Bold Prediction: Wes Goodwin will win the Broyles award behind a top 2 defense at Clemson. They will be better than last years D.
Only coach that might get fired in the Big Ten is Scott Frost. Nobody else is even close. Any other coach in the conference can go 0-12 and their coach won't be fired.
So to put it into context in the 3 post-season games that Stroud would need to play in to supplant Joe Berreauxs all time records he would need to avg 400+yds 5tds at 80 percent completion rate per game in the CFB against the creme de la creme in college football. Good Luck with that, id say its a 12 out of 10 on the boldness scale
I don’t think that second to last one isn’t as bold as you make it out to be. Locksley, Schiano, Allen, Frost, and Fitzgerald could all get fired.
Are we just forgetting that Joe Burrow's TD record was broken by Bailey Zappe LAST YEAR?
