Out of curiosity how much is the max a bookies can pay out in cash for a win. For example if I bet £5 on a accumulator in shop not online and won say 3k will the bookies pay the winnings out in cash or do they pay out in a different way

I was doing a bit of horse betting and I find that in Ireland a lot off the time there are a lot of withdrawn horses and the rule four deductions come into play in lots of times. It is as if trainers do it on purpose to aid the betting industry. Almost as if they are in cahoots with bookies. In fact I think this happens in the UK as well. And its to rip off the morning punters slashing the odds and taking away any value and decreasing the bets returns. I get the fact going is generally the reason given but that is a lame excuse at best as most horses run on different surfaces in there career. I think trainers should be heavily fined and not some slap on the wrist £5000 + and the horse banned from racing for about 3 months to stop the hoodwinking occurring. The best thing to do is wait till about an hour before racing before betting in accumulated bets, yes horse odds will come in but how often do gambled on horses win very seldom.

Like a fool my gambling has been strictly slots and over the years i have lost an awful lot of money, i hate to say it but the online slots seem to feel so rigged. Maybe i would be better off trying to place some bets on other things instead and try to at least get some money back from the casinos. I think im going to take time to watch a few of your videos and take some tips. Wish me luck and thanks for the videos!!!

How do we know a horse will shorten though Caan? I realise that you'll have a good eye for spotting this due to your many years of experience in trading. But to most people this is an impossible task isn't it? Which means, surely, that this strategy will only work for those who can already successfully trade the horses on the exchange? I would love to think not, I do really appreciate your videos, but it's really dissapointing to see what appears to be such a great strategy only to find out there's a catch (that we can't really do it)

HI Caan, love you content. I've been trying this strategy myself this week. I live near a lads and a freds. I make my selections at home by checking price/price movements relative to the exchanges, but everytime I get the shops the prices have shortened. I've not yet managed to get one bet on. Do you know where I might be going wrong? What other criteria might I use to make selections which are more price-stable? Thanks. Tom

What do you think of the more exotic shop only bets bookies do not promote like 2 selection SSA, DSA , or 3 selection BANKO bets that pay more than patent for same stake..

  13. John O'sullivan

problem in ireland is that now most high street shops no longer give guaranteed prices on shop placed multiples,i leaned this to my cost recently when i hit a lucky 15 and accum cost me over 500 euro

Love it Caan. You're an inspiration.

Hi @Caan Berry Pro Trader would you recomond using the martingale technique whilst finding value bets?

  16. John T

Good stuff again Caan. The other thing may be to mention is that there is hardly any margin for the bookies at the front of the market and occassionally the bookies price at SP is above the BF price – which is usually the " true price " at SP , as we know . For those people who bet multiples , betting only on the short price horses at least means you`re giving very little up to them and are sometimes even beating BF. 4x EVEN money shots in multiples is better value than 4x 10/1 shots if the punter in using a bookie as the outsiders ` should be nearer 20/1 but the even money shots are more or less the correct price.

Are these true selections or after timed to explain the value for the video

  18. George Book

Caan is this worth doing even if the odds are real long? Still better value than what the bookies are offering though
