Bama back-up QB puts up 28 points on previously ranked Arkansas after Bryce went down. RTR!

  2. JustTheTruth

Totally disagree about UK. They outplayed Ole Miss and only turnovers saved the Rebels (? bears?). I'm predicting they beat UGA later this year and win the East.

These comments on OSU is a joke! They beat ND when they were #5( the excuse they give for SEC teams at the end of the season when all their garbage teams are gone)! You struggle with a unranked Texas who loses to Texas tech and struggle with Kent st and Mizzo and ya'll 1 and 2?! Come on man!!! This bias crapp is killing College Football! The only team to beat Bama twice in 10 years is A&M who are from the Big 12 also Mizzo almost won your conference 2 years in a row their first 2 years there and you all are beating your Chest! To mention A&M beat them the first year there as well but all your strong teams just couldn't do huh! Strong conference! Big 12 came in there and bust your head now you want their big dogs! Stop it!!!!

Some of y’all are just absolute idiots and an embarrassment to college football fans. You know NOTHING about teams other than the name, conference, and how good you “think” they should be based on previous years. People saying Clemson has only beaten trash teams don’t know one thing about Wake and NC State, but just assume they’re bad cause they’re in the ACC and their names. Absolutely pathetic—do some learning and WATCH the games before commenting

Let’s see OSU play SEC teams and see just how good they think they are !

  6. bee lee

Head to head matchup does matter..FSU vs LSU rankings

  7. bee lee

Media always says head to head wins matter when ranking both teams.. well the AP Poll definitely makes them fraud…you can definitely killed the FSU wins vs LSU out the window

  8. Lady Bree MMA Fighter

Lol. Kentucky has a tough game this week they gotta get past.

  9. Brandon Lynch

LSU being ranked and FSU not being ranked is a wonderful example of the SEC bias.

  10. Knives@Gunfights

The TOP 5 teams are nothing short of a wrecking ball.

Rankings don’t mean shit NOW. Still a lot of football to play. Everyone has their panties wadded up SOOOO EARLY. You all need to take a long nap(about 8weeks)

Ohio State hasn’t played a team worth calling good How can you say their playing the best ball??

Georgia should've went to number #3 Kent State and the Tigers wasn't even rank bout with a losing record and I really think that Tennessee will give Georgia their first lost

  14. Vols Time

Tennessee should have moved up. That's a BS POLE.

Here's my Sunday Morning pre-poll post from this morning….forgot to pick a new number 10 but now that I think about it, it's hard to come up with one

After week 5, ignoring the fact that we don't know what's what with Bryce Young, and going solely on the basis of what we have seen to date ….

    1. Georgia – One poor showing is a mulligan but two poor showings in a row against unranked teams knocks Georgia down in my book. There win over Oregon is looking better again as they are surging. The only thing holding back Bama from taking the No. 1 spot is if ya consider that Young is out for any extended time. But to be fair, Alabama's performance showed the receivers clicking and when they needed the running game, it steamrolled. The Football Power Index has them at No. 3 (25.2) but I'm not ready to go that far and stop their fall to No. 2

    2. Alabama – See above, the Football Power Index has them at No. 1 (31.2)

    3. Ohio State – With victories over No. 42, No. 105. No. 89, No. 43 and No. 61 and an average opponent ranking of 68, can't see anything to justify them moving up or down. the Football Power Index has them at No. 2 (27.5)

All the above being said, a good argument for any of them in any order from 1- 3. At this point in the rankings, the drop is significant.

    4. Michigan – With a 7 point win at home over Maryland (No. 39) and a 13 point win over Iowa (No. 46) on the road…. the head to head doesn't really support the No. 4 ranking…. but they look a lot better than Clemson so they stay put. Their FPI (20.00) places them 4th.

    5. Clemson – Close wins over Nos. 10 and 22 don't really support their standing but WF I think deserves a better ranking. Yesterday's game did not impress, expected better playing at home. Still with an FPI just below Michigan (19.3) can't find a solid reason to knock them down. OTOH, my eyeball impression is that Clemson would lose on a neutral field to Ole Miss, Tennessee and USC.

    6. USC – USC has looked great in its victories over Nos. 93, 74, 53 and 101 …. on the other hand, that's 93, 74, 53 and 101 and they looked rather pedestrian facing No. 29 Oregon State, even forgiving the fact that it was a road game. Ranked 11 in FPI, haven't seen enough to say they deserve No. 6. but OTOH, hard to knock them down at this point. Folks do love their undefeated teams and we can expect to see some posers make the top 25 this week like Coastal, Kansas and Syracuse.

    7. Kentucky – Lost on the road to a ranked team …. Ole Miss will get a boost into the Top 10 and Kentucky probably deserves No. 11 – 15 … but voters love to find any excuse to overly penalize SEC teams for getting anything in the L column and I expect a drop akin to Arkansas 10 spot drop last week. That being said, they have been playing better than the No. 24 FPI would indicate so wouldn't be all that surprised in they continue to drop.

    8. Tennessee – Had planned to be at this game but didn't work out due to scheduling conflicts. Tennessee is on of 5 SEC teams in the Top 10 FPI (16.0). They didn't play so can't find a reason to move them up or down. It's a shame that it the Volunteers lose to current Nos 1 and 2 , even with 4 of 4 victories over ranked teams, they won't be able to stay in the Top 10 w/ two L's on the record

    9. Oklahoma State – With a road win against No.16, they should take Kentucky's spot at No. 7

    10. NC State – With a loss to a Clemson, they lose their spot. Ole Miss has the best win of teams below them so they move up to take their spot.

Big whoop…. So Kansas is this year's poser … beat 5 nobodies

Tennessee Tech isn't in same division so will generously call them No. 132
    West Virginia is No. 59
    Houston is No. 69
    Duke is No. 40
Iowa State is No. 36 and they eked out a 3 point win whole being out gained by 42%. On the road, Iowa State still had twice as many 1st downs and without the INT leaving them 19 yards from a TD, it would have been a loss …. A win is a win of course but beating No. 36 when you are playing at home and lose the stats battle as well as Time of Possesion by 43% does not warrant a move into the Top 20. Looking at their schedule, I give them a 50-50 chance of finishing at 0.500

  16. Jimmy C

Alabama is the best team in the country

  17. Curt Griffin

Dude osu hasn't played nobody the ppl they played would lose to Missouri on god

  18. Cuse #44

Really? Clemson Has it wrapped up? They haven't played the 5-0 #21 ranked Syracuse Orangemen yet!

  19. Daniel Maxwell

    Ohio state lmao

  20. David Cavin

Well Tennessee fans out there we had better beat Lsu because bama looked like a bunch of grown men out there but no matter what happens Tennessee is looking like there ahead of schedule
