I think usc will be the most dominate team in big ten, once they hit their stride

  2. Obadiah Plainman

Notre dame and Oregon should join next. The big 10 will be incredible

  3. Art B

Yeah, I can't wait to watch USC play Rutgers at 9AM on a Saturday. Money, money, money. How many on the west coast even know where New Jersey or Maryland is?

  4. Liberals haveitallbackwards

Unless the Big 10 adds Bama, nobody cares.

  5. James Waters

F'ing nonsense, IMO. Were they lured away from the PAC-12 for no other reason than to prove that UCLA and USC aren't smart enough to stay in the PAC-12? It's Pacific Athletic Conference – not the Great Lakes Athletic conference. Can you imagine?

  6. David Edwards

Could Jackson St join the SEC?

  7. SC1887

How will the travel schedules work for the players? I think the home team advantage just got a promotion.

  8. Jeremy Allen

Lol “the NFL has no bad game”… Ever watched the Jaguars?!?!?!

  9. mbdbdbf

USC and UCLA havent been relevant since matt leinart. Hes 40

  10. Nicholas Frat

Colin is such a typical annoying west coast dude, he talks abt Midwesterner’s like they’re farm animals

  11. Tafb94 Force

What happens to the PAC 12? It's great fot USC and UCLA and the BIG TEN.

  12. Curtis Powell

I don't like Cowherd at all.. but he nailed this one.. MORE QUALITY GAMES coming down the pike. Curtis in the Philippines

  13. Johnny B. Goode

Colin is right. College football is going to be Awesome to watch now with teams playing relevant teams as it should be No more teams scheduling cupcakes, and now we can have a true playoff! I’m excited for my BruWINS!!!👍

  14. Tom M.

going to love watching USC playing in the dead of winter in Minnesota and Michigan and Penn St they wont even come to ND past the 3rd week of Oct those So. Cal. kids are in for an experience LOL…

  15. Joshua Garner

in a UCLA vs anyone match-up, UCLA is the weak link, LA isn't a big College football market. yeah SEC country doesn't have anything else they don't have any pro sports in Dallas Kansas City New Orleans Atlanta Charlotte Nashville Miami Houston San Antonio Oklahoma City Memphis and the Big Ten doesn't have any teams in Chicago Green Bay Detroit Indianapolis Cleveland Cincinnati Washington DC nor do we have Lakes or anything else to do outside nothing

  16. Guitars rcool

besides all the traveling and bad weather I don't like the fact that the Big 10 will come and take talent from CA which is the Pac 12s main grounds for players. More traveling. How is that going to work out? Big 10 gets to play games with much better weather. Big 10 has to be loving it. Pac 12 is getting more money but everything else favors the Big 10.

  17. The Enduring

UCLA will finally sell out all their home games, the city of Pasadena will reap the rewards of all those visiting Midwest people, and the Big Ten Championship game will now have a more prominent home (SoFi stadium) with a much bigger and wider audience to appeal to. Big Ten teams travel well, and spend money. The fanbases of Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan State can now plan their trips out west every other year.

  18. Brian Bloom

Colin your delusional and your takes are watered doen cuz trying to do too much…standards are devolving on daytime show.

Sc and Ucla have 40+MM people from Cali to secure thru NIL deals🤷‍♂️.

Cali kids are not built for Big10 games on tha road. The only change that makes sense was a move to the SEC👌.

Sc and Ucla don't need the Big 10 network…its a bad move and now Sc and Ucla will have lot lizards from Michigan; Ohio; Illinois; Wisconsin..great, just what Californians want.

How much would they make for tha SEC?

  19. Carson Yalch

USC playing big brand teams will help their tv views for a couple games a year, but this trajectory is horrible for the sport. There will be weekly games that sound great now that end up having very weak and lame crowds because no one will care about USC playing Iowa. Especially if they play in California.

  20. Don Holmes

How about Michigan & Ohio State joining the PAC-12? You see how stupid it all sounds now? I hope we are at full scale war in Europe soon, do none of this crap ever happens!

  21. Steve Meloccaro

i think this only affects football and basketball
makes no sense to play 50+ baseball games with maybe 1/2 cross country, not financially prosperous

  22. WorldNomad

“Athletes worried about where their next meal will come from”. Really? Stop being dramatic here, if you care that much then the whole student body should get free college, room and board.

  23. John K

Institutes of higher learning turned into institutes of higher earnings. Bunch of sell outs and it’s embarrassing. Even the NFL has conferences that make sense. And they’re greedy as it gets.

  24. Tyler Berger

Honestly both Matt and Joy sound dumb. They are not really saying anything. Much more “opportunity”. Opportunity for what ? To make more money? This will very quickly become the pros, and college football will then lose that peculiar draw it has always had.

  25. Tyler Berger

Students are not wondering where their next is coming from, my goodness.

  26. Watch Only

Sick of hearing about the “big brands.” Programs like Southern Cal and Texas might have big marketing brands but the people don’t live & die for football. Big difference between the likes of USC and Texas vs Alabama and LSU. One might be a big brand, but the other CARES about football — it’s life itself. And that’s why they win more.

  27. Watch Only

    You’re wrong.

Not everyone is going to make money. Most will make 0 dollars because they won’t have any real market value.

“Wondering where their next meal’s coming from”??? Please! All theee athletes have meal plans, housing, etc.

  28. Tom M.

Matt your offensive and defensive lines suck and no depth your dreaming

  29. Steven Meinking

No mention of the complete dismal failure and total ineptitude of PAC Commissioner Larry Scott who has almost single-handedly destroyed the conference and should have been fired over a decade ago.

  30. Baby Jordan

Man, Leinart had no insight to offer on SC and UCLA joining the Big Ten, just talked to fill time. Then 10 minutes into the interview he had a couple of interesting things to say about NIL Joy blindsided him with the surprise team question. Ohio St. and SC were two teams he mentioned. Great job, Matt.

  31. Karl Wihl

Reallly terrible plus NIL is stupid

  32. Karl Wihl

    This person stinks

  33. Kaptain H

im not a english major – is Me and Alex were athletes … is that correct english . ? just curious – not throwing shade . She mentioned that ..

  34. Dubai Doug

No scholarship athlete in Division 1 has "wondered where their next meal is coming from. " What a stupid argument.

NIL is running college athletics. It's just a semi-pro league now where the rich schools will buy the best players. The average fan is disgusted with it, and viewership is only going to decline

  35. tamil1001

Its seems more like the NFL now. Why even call it "college football"?

  36. shogun 012

Fan base for Big 10 schools is huge in LA so home games at the Coli and The RB will be huge.

  37. Evan Blough

All I see this as is OSU, UM, MSU, Iowa, WISC, and Penn St. get 2 free Preseason Top 25 wins per year🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

  38. Travis Sullivan

NIL should be done like a clearinghouse kind of thing: The player who gets the deal gets 10% of the deal. If it's a million dollars, they get 100k. 40% of said deal should be distributed to all athletes on that team's roster. So, 400K being divided among all the players on the team, so like 5k for every player on the team, including the one who got the deal. The remaining 50% should be put into an overall deal for all players in said conference to add value to the sport. This would do 2 things: stop pay for play, thanks TAM, and it would balance out locker rooms, giving everyone something when someone gets a big deal. This would turn a big deal into "Wow, that's awesome, thanks," rather than, "Oh, good for you."

  39. Brandt Thrower

Joy is still here????? Bring back Nick Wright or Doug Gotlieb!
