Luck was truly on the Jets’ side for this draft because of the way things fell literally added top talent. A.) If the Falcons drafted G. Wilson, then the Jets would of drafted J. Johnson. So because of that little wrinkle the Jets were able to get both G.Wilson and J. Johnson. B.) the Jets wanted to trade back into the end of the 1st round again with the Packers to draft Breece Hall. The Jets offered rest of their 2022 draft picks to accomplish this trade. But the Packers wanted what the Jets offered plus a 2nd round pick in 2023. The Jets could have potentially lost Jeremy Ruckert, Max Mitchell, Michael Clemons, and next year’s 2nd round pick to acquire a player, Breece Hall, that they were able to select anyway because of how the Draft worked out. And C.) in my opinion, the Jets were able to draft every single one of their draft picks in 2022 because the rest of the NFL incorrectly undervalued each player. For example, the Texans foolishly valued Stingley over Sauce. The Falcons valued London over G. Wilson. This one has some merit for Atlanta, but I still think Wilson was slightly the #1 WR over London. The teams that chose not select an edge rusher that has a Khalil Mack type ceiling in JJ before pick #26 unexpectedly benefitted the Jets. The “way too much” undervaluing of the RB position allowed a potentially generational RB talent slip out of the 1st round was a huge coup for the Jets. The foolishly redundant lack of adherence to the advice of the clairvoyant Chris Simms regarding TE Jeremy Ruckert being the #1 TE in this Draft benefited the Jets. And then somehow grabbing 2 future starting talents in the 4th round in Mitchell and Clemons. Max Mitchell is an elite prospect in regards to his pass protection. And Clemons has 1st round physical traits in regard to his length, strength, and overall athleticism. In my opinion, he is just as much a steal in this Draft as Johnson and Hall.

You know, I recall some guy mentioning how the Jets would be rebuilding into a super team, let’s hope he’s right. Would be nice to see the Jets rise up.

The person who mentioned the Jets said in the 2021 season they’d have a 3-14, 4-13, or 5-12 year at best, but by the 2022 season they’d have a heavy weighted team. Wonder if they’ll make it.
