"two super conferences" LMAO !!! Programs with rich history? Yes. Conferences full of consistent world-beaters top to bottom? Not a chance! The SEC and Big 10 are only top heavy. But hey, ESPN started the P5 narrative, so what's to stop them from making up more ** as we go? NIL isn't ruining college sports, it's the media talking heads spewing their garbage!

    Start by learning grammar.

The key for these leagues to compete is to just win at a high level. The reason the SEC is so stable is its focus on members and its ability to win. B1G wins enough to get the biggest fanbase and that is why they are healthy as well.

SEC overrated without Alabama Crimson Tide

Anyone with half a brain would never put the big 10 in the same class as the SEC.

Money is nice, but there is no real difference between facilities at these levels. 50 million dollar facilities are similar to 30. A locker room built in 2022 will be awesome no matter where it's built. Beyond that, Nebraska makes 40 mil per year more then Houston. Who has been more successful in the major sports? Money doesn't buy success. Btw most power 5 schools have a net profit of 2 billion plus, so 50 or even 100 mil is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things

TV contracts should be based on performance, NOT affiliations..

Really bad take, big 12 is better in basketball. Big 12 won sugar bowl last year. OSU beat ND as well. Just click bait hype. SEC bottom tier teams aren’t that great. I’d say just top 3-4

Let's be real instead of hype. The Big XII leads the SEC 48 – 41 in basketball over the history of the Big XII and SEC challenge. In football the Big XII is the most competitive conference against the SEC since it began in 1996. The SEC just has more sports money, but not better academics, on average. Too much hype surrounding the SEC. One key message is the SEC has chosen to take teams just from the Big XII over the last decade. They chose wisely from a powerful conference.

first off the sec is all alone at the the top

Problem is conferences in this sport have nothing to do with competition

    You created this disaster…..

Look, there's a reason a college football player in South Florida can obtain huge NIL deals, as well as in Central Florida, too.

Because those areas are highly populated, rich areas that can fork up millions, even if their teams are weak, because of the money flowing into those cities.

Name, Image and Likeness has somewhat even the playing field and players, especially those from urban areas, will jump at any chance to get their momma out of the ghetto and the same for white rural players, who will do the same to get their mothers out of trailer parks.

I might come off as a bit harsh, but trust me, I live in a college football town my entire life, I have former and current college football/pro players in my immediate family and I have heard the horror stories from the early 80's

NIL is going to change college football forever! By "change" I mean it is going to enhance weaker, smaller conferences, especially those with teams in huge markets to grab a few of the 4 star recruits and remain close to home.

The SEC is like your 48 year-old aunt, it's top-heavy!

Outside of three, maybe four teams, the rest of the league is just like other conferences!

Please stop acting like the bottom-tier teams in the SEC would be leading other conferences!

  18. Truth Minus The BS

The ACC will be just fine, they still have Clemson and with the rise of NC State, Wake Forrest, Pitt and a revamp Seminoles team, they will consistently challenge for national titles and have at least three teams in the Top Ten.
