Because La Liga is low intensity farmers league for most of the season. By the time a prem season is finished, the players are f**ked.

It has mainly to do with the competitiveness of the EPL, even though City has been winning the league most seasons, top 3 teams are still playing majority of the competitions not to mentioned with lesser substitutions compared to La Liga. Also, La Liga are supporting of their domestic clubs, they make concessions when fixtures are tight unlike the EPL & FA which expects English clubs to play every fixtures with lesser time to recover. Second it has to do with big juggernauts of club, although money doesn't automatically warrant success – the likes of Bayern, Real Madrid, Barca (not in recent times) have pedigree in this competitions, we cannot pretend they haven't had possibly the best coaches, best players in the world. I get ppl talking about English club being overrated but it is disingenuous to an extent otherwise they wouldn't have been in semis & finals in the last 4-5 years.
Which clubs in Bundesliga & La Liga besides Bayern, RM, Barca have won UCL in last 20 years? None.

The English FA doesn’t look after their clubs like other countries do, such as giving them favourable fixtures on Fridays before UCL games.
Plus UEFA instruct referees not to allow another all English final like previous years. That’s the only reason Real Madrid got past Chelsea and Man City.

…because there are not enough german managers

Are Shaka and Ale in America? Just curious

  7. Jose l Perez

    Cause Real Madrid.

Balotelli had great physical attributes to be a top striker but was very rigid in terms of other aspects. Ben Arfa and Bojan's game was very very close to Messi's. Dribbling, passing, shooting, control. It's a shame they didn't justify their talents.

Guy had the cheek to name Bayern and Barca before Liverpool

Forget what all the Indian fan boys here say, it's that the premier league is harder and more gruelling. PL teams look dead in the latter stages of the competition

  11. cismaan

And why epl players not winning Ballon dor even after cr7 and Messi domination ended 4 years ago?

  12. Adeyemi Blessing

It's pretty simple to me…. Premier League overwork their players

Mark Ogdan the dullest ugliest and shittest sports journalist out there who made fun of Harry Kane's speech impediment talking about Pires being arrogant?

    Do me a favour 😂

  14. david makanga

Baloteli was incredibly talented but didn't have the right attitude. Shows you there is so much to football than the talent. You gotta give it up to Messi and Ronaldo who have done for year in year out.

  15. Catracho Doki / Fan de Doki & Real Madrid

I just live seeing EwAssPremN continuing to talk and talk and talk about English teams failing but have no respect towards the ‘who-beat-them’ 😂😂😂😂

    Let me sum it up:
Man City big oil club who continues to spend unnecessarily on players when they’re already complete
    Liverpool are PK merchants
Chelsea are overrated when it comes to midfielders
You know why Man United can’t win the UCL

    Simple. Now stop this bias

  16. Javier P

    Because they are over hyped

  17. ComradeOgilvy1984

Like them, love them, hate them, but Real Madrid is clearly a special club. Subtract them out of the picture, and England is completely dominant in recent years.
So it is not really the English teams are struggling, it is that every team but Real Madrid struggles, and that is how we should expect it.

  18. John Usa

The simple and easy answer is …… because of the existence of the best soccer team in the world…… REAL MADRID.
Real Madrid has won the coveted Champions League silver trophy 14 times.
No other team comes even close. AC Milan is closest with 7, next is Liverpool and Bayern Munich with 6.
    HALA MADRID.

  19. Frank Houttave

    Because the EPL is overrated!

This should be titled “Why aren’t any clubs not named Real Madrid & Barcelona not winning more champions leagues.
