Those preseason college football magazines usually came out the week after the draft.

I’m no USC fan, but if Riley doesn’t get USC to CFP is not a failure. It’s hard enough to get a new roster to gel in year one in the pros, I’m sure it’s much tougher for college. They gotta be in the conversation though.

  3. Earl Menary

Let the NFL have a minor league like MLB. Keep college football amateur for the love of sport and school.

  4. James Ritchie

NIL is such a nice moniker for pay for play.

  5. Mitchell Bennett

NIL will destroy cfb, if this happens without sensible and fair practices. I say each player receives $10,000 if in 1A level. Maybe $5000 for 1AA. It can be paid by booster clubs. One flat fee fair to all players, including the walk-on bench warmers.

UCLA is really going underrated in the offseason bc all the change at Oregon and USC. I'm not a Chip Kelly fan, but this is their big year.

Pac 12 title will be Utah vs UCLA

Quinn talking about protecting players…but no one is stopping coaches from forcing out their own scholarship players who are only 2-3 years into their schooling because they aren't "cutting it" on the field or not getting playing time yet.

These coaches are more ruthless than the players.

  8. The Truth

USC is a joke, they have no chance at a title

  9. Anthony Henderson

Quinn just disrespected Kyle W and Utah as if SC is going 2 SLC and put a W on Utah on Riley’s first year is a ton of pressure and expectations

I know no one wants to hear it, nonetheless, no other team helped itself more in the transfer portal than LSU. Hence, watch Brian Kelly shock teams and make waves in 2022. As LSU will win 9, 10, or possibly even more games this season. Yeah baby!

  11. Yuyong Kutsor

Who do you think will win the national championship this year

  12. The Slayer

As a Duck fan I'm digging all the coverage, but I think people need to slow down on the USC and Oregon kool-aid. Did y'all forget about Utah?? They are the current Pac12 champs and in my opinion demand a bit more respect.

Dennis Dodd is the most ignorant and bias talking head at CBS. The NCAA didn't enforce their rules on buying recruits before the NIL. If Bama signed the #1 recruiting class instead of A&M the NIL would be considered a huge success. Texas publicly outbid Texas Tech for Ewers buying him for 4 million dollars which broke NIL and state laws. How about CBS report on teams and coaches that actually broke NIL rules? A LSU booster stole money from a kids cancer charity to pay recruits and their parents illegally. The NCAA still hasn't punished LSU and the biased media like CBS doesn't report the story. Miles and Orgeron both committed Title IX violations by covering up rapes by their football players. Will Wade was caught on a FBI wiretap blatantly buying recruits illegally before NIL. I guess smirking about A&Ms class to continue to push the negative A&M narrative is more important.

Saban went 6-6 in his first season at Bama…he then magically signed the #1 recruiting class the next year. It's blatantly obvious Saban illegally bought recruits to get those players…the NCAA looked the other way before NIL. I don't remember anyone in the media investigating Bama or pressuring the NCAA to uphold their bylaws.
A LSU booster stole money from a kids cancer charity to pay recruits and their parents illegally and was convicted.

Texas literally publicly outbid Texas Tech to buy Ewers for 4 million dollars which broke NIL and state laws. How about reporting on schools breaking NIL rules?

I'm not a Utah fan, but I'm really shocked at how much Oregon and USC are being talked about for the playoff on here. Utah, to me, should be the heavy favorite to win the Pac 12 this year.

  16. Casey Gardner

The hard on that everyone has for USC and Oregon is very evident. The disrespect that Utah gets year in and out after proving themselves to be top dog in the conference is mind blowing. Let them overlook Utah though in October when USC visits in the national spotlight.

  17. David Reinhart

I love whenever Nick Saban gets beat. He is a cheating a – holes.

  18. Jrock Az

Dark horse Heisman bijon Robinson Texas

  19. Billy Ellis

Saban invented the money bag .

  20. Daniel Bitzer

Everybody knows Jimbo Fisher is on the take…. Why is Jimbo Fisher defending what we all know about A&M? Of course ALABAMA pays their players. I heard Jimbo Fisher bash Kiffen saying these players just wanted to come to A&M. Bull Chit !! Fisher is part of the collective. His boosters, fans, and special interest are funding these players are calling it NIL.

  21. Eric packers

    War eagle Auburn regardless
